Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). On November 24, 2007, rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert died, leaving the band as a four-piece. In June 2014 it was announced the departure of original drummer Eron Bucciarelli. On January 20, 2015, it was announced that Micah Carli (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals) had left the band as well. The band found success with both of their first two albums, their 2004 release, '' The Silence in Black and White'', and their 2006 album, ''If Only You Were Lonely'', both achieving Gold certification. ''Skeletons'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Hawthorne Heights, released June 1, 2010. It is their first and only album to be released through Wind-up Records, and is also the first release since If Only You Were Lonely to employ screamed vocals, with guitarist Micah Carli adding limited vocals into select tracks on the record. The album was produced by Howard Benson. The album peaked at #50 on the Billboard top 200 albums. ''Fragile Future'' is the third studio album by Hawthorne Heights. Background On August 7, 2006, it was announced that the band had left Victory Records, citing a lack of royalty payment and filed a lawsuit against them. On December 6, the band announced they had written 11 songs for a new album. In May 2007, a judge declared that the band could record albums for any record label. However, the band's contract required them to release another two albums through Victory Records. In May 2007, a demo, titled "Come Back Home", was made available for streaming. By this point, the group had written 23 songs. They went on a month-long trek across the US with From First to Last, Secondhand Serenade, Brighten, and Powerspace, and then appeared on that year's Warped Tour. Following this, they began recording their third album. Sessions were held at Hype Dance Studio in Chico, California, with Jeff Schneeweis acting as main producer, and the band co-producing.
