The village is located along the European route E06 highway at the southern end of the Storfjorden, Troms, Storfjorden, a branch of the large Lyngenfjorden. Storfjord Church is located in Hatteng. Lyngen (also known as , , or ) is a fjord in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The long fjord is the longest fjord in Troms and it is often used as the dividing line between "northern Troms" and "southern Troms". The fjord is located within the municipalities of Skjervøy, Nordreisa, Lyngen, Gáivuotna–Kåfjord, and Storfjord. It stretches from the village of Hatteng in Storfjord Municipality in the south all the way north to the islands of Skjervøy Municipality. The Lyngen Alps lie along the western shore of the fjord and the European route E06 highway runs along the eastern shore. or is a small village in Balsfjord Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village lies about southeast of the city of Tromsø. Two major highways, European route E6 and European route E8, meet in this village, making it a major crossroads in Northern Norway, with an estimated annual passage of 3 million people. Storfjord Church
Storfjord Church ( no, Storfjord kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Storfjord Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Hatteng. It is the main church for the Storfjord parish which is part of the Nord-Troms prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in an empire style in a long church design in 1952 using plans drawn up by the architect Bjarne Bystad Ellefsen. The church seats about 320 people. History The first church in Storfjord was built in 1917. It was a school house from 1911 that was renovated and expanded in 1917 to make it into a church. That building was located about northwest of the present church site. That building was jointly used as a school and a church for many years. Treriksröset
The Three-Country Cairn ( fi, Kolmen valtakunnan rajapyykki, se, Golmma riikka urna, no, Treriksrøysa, sv, Treriksröset) is the point at which the international borders of Sweden, Norway and Finland meet, and the name of the monument that marks the point. It is an example of a geographical feature known as a tripoint. It is the northernmost international tripoint in the world.
