Hastière (; wa, Astire) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 5,230 inhabitants. The total area is , giving a population density of 93 inhabitants per square kilometre. The municipality consists of the following districts: Agimont, Blaimont, Hastière-Lavaux (location of town hall), Hastière-par-delà, Heer, Hermeton-sur-Meuse, and Waulsort. Hastière's attractions along the river Meuse include the Romanesque church of a former Benedictine Monastery (at Hastière-Lavaux), the Renaissance Castle of Freÿr surrounded by 18th-century classical gardens and facing the rocks of Freÿr (north of Waulsort), and the 17th-century buildings of another former Benedictine monastery (at Waulsort). Waulsort
Waulsort ( wa, Åssôrt) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Hastière, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Until the reorganisation of the Municipalities of Belgium 1977, Waulsort was a municipality in its own right. History The Benedictine Waulsort Abbey was founded here in 946. It was dissolved in 1793, during the French Revolution. It was chiefly known as the owner, from the 10th century until its dissolution, of the Lothar Crystal. Dinant () is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality of Wallonia located in the Namur Province, province of Namur, Belgium. Givet () (german: Gibet Walloon: ''Djivet'') is a commune in the Ardennes department in northern France surrounded on three sides by the Belgian border. It lies on the river Meuse where Emperor Charles V built the fortress of Charlemont. It borders the French municipalities of Fromelennes to the east and Rancennes to the south and Foisches to the southeast. The Castle of Freÿr (french: Château de Freÿr，) with its gardens in the style of Le Nôtre is located in Wallonia on the left bank of the Meuse, between Waulsort and Dinant (province of Namur, Belgium). They form one of the most magnificent natural sites in Belgium. It has been classified as one of Wallonia's major heritage sites. It is often called a greatly reduced Versailles. Originally a Renaissance castle, it was extended in the 18th century and was once the residence of dukes and their royal guests. It has gardens including orange trees. Florennes
Florennes (; wa, Florene) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. As of 1 January 2006, Florennes has a total population of 10,754. The total area is 133.55 km² which gives a population density of 81 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Corenne, Flavion, Florennes, Hanzinelle, Hanzinne, Hemptinne, Morialmé, Morville, Rosée, Saint-Aubin and Thy-le-Bauduin. Florennes hosts Florennes Air Base, a Belgian military airfield which is the home base for F-16 Fighting Falcon jets.
