Hasta Que Se Ponga El Sol
''Hasta que se ponga el sol'' (Spanish for "Until the sun sets") is 1973 Argentine documentary film of the foundational stage of the '' rock nacional'' (Spanish for "national rock") movement. It was filmed in the third edition of the historic B.A. Rock rock festival, which took place in 1972 at the Argentinos Juniors stadium. It was also completed with filming in Teatro Olimpia and the film studios of Argentina Sono Film and Phonalex. In addition to featuring live recordings of the main artists of Argentine rock of the time, it contains plot sequences interpreted by members of some of the groups that participated in the festival. Fernando Ayala
Fernando Ayala (2 July 1920 – 11 September 1997) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer of the classic era. He is widely considered one of the most important Argentine film directors and producers in the history of the cinema of Argentina. Ayala initially began as a trainee assistant director in 1942, in '' El Viaje'', and within two years he had become an assistant director. By 1949 he had obtained his first job as director, and from 1958 he also served as producer for the films he directed and some others. Between 1950 and 1987 he was involved in the direction and production of well over 40 films, such as '' Ayer fue primavera'' in 1955 and ''Argentinísima'' and '' Argentinísima II'' in 1972 and 1973 respectively. In 1963 he was a member of the jury at the 13th Berlin International Film Festival. Pappo
Norberto Aníbal Napolitano (March 10, 1950 – February 25, 2005), popularly known as Pappo, was an Argentine rock musician, guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was and is one of the most influential figures in Argentine music, and in addition to being one of the forerunners of Argentine rock. Besides, he was one of the first to venture into heavy metal in his country and blues of the same. He is considered by various musicians in his country, by the public and by the specialized press as the best guitarist in the entire history of argentine rock, while B. B. King considered him one of the best guitarists of all time. He was a member of important Argentine rock bands such as Los Abuelos de la Nada, Engranaje, Los Gatos and Billy Bond y La Pesada del Rock and Roll. Piedra Roja was a music festival in Chile noted as an expression of the Hippie, hippie counterculture in South America. Following the success of Woodstock, a similar music festival was held in Chile between 10 and 12 October 1970 in the eastern area of Santiago, Chile, Santiago. Among others, the following bands performed in the festival: Aguaturbia, Los Blops, Lágrima Seca and Los Jaivas. Similarly to Woodstock, chaos marked the festival, involving problems with sound, drugs and delinquency. The festival showed for the first time that the young population in Chile during that time was a group to reckon with. Vox Dei (Latin, 'Voice of God') is an Argentine rock band credited for recording the country's first concept album, '' La Biblia''. Their most prolific years were the 1970s, when they recorded ten albums. Vox Dei have had several line-up changes and a five-year hiatus. Their third and most commercially successful line-up featured Ricardo Soulé (guitar and vocals), Willy Quiroga (bass and vocals) and Rubén Basoalto (drums). Pescado Rabioso (Rabid Fish) were an Argentinian rock band led by Argentine musician Luis Alberto Spinetta from 1971 to 1973. Initially a trio accompanied by drummer Black Amaya and bassist Osvaldo "Bocón" Frascino, they became a quartet with the addition of keyboardist Carlos Cutaia. Finally, David Lebón replaced Frascino in 1972 and featured on the album Pescado 2. In spite of their short life, they are still considered an important and influential piece of Argentine rock history. They were the second major band of Spinetta, created after Almendra's break up in the late 1960s and a seven-month trip through Brazil, United States and Europe. Félix Francisco "Litto" Nebbia Corbacho (born 21 July 1948) is an Argentine singer-songwriter, musician and producer prominent in the development of Argentine rock. Life and work Félix Francisco Nebbia Corbacho was born in Rosario, Santa Fe to Martha and Félix Nebbia (two sons of Italian immigrants), in 1948. His parents were struggling musicians, though during his early teens, ''Litto'' left secondary school to join a friend, keyboardist Ciro Fogliatta, in a band ("Wild Cats"). The duo moved to Buenos Aires in 1963, and lived hand-to-mouth in a Balvanera ward tenement.
