Hassan Ghafouri Fard
Hassan Ghafourifard ( fa, حسن غفوری‌فرد) (born 5 August 1943) is an Iranian academic and conservative politician. Ghafourifard held government portfolios in the 1980s, before being appointed as the Physical Education Organization under president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. He formerly represented Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr twice in the Parliament of Iran, as well as serving a brief spell from Mashhad and Kalat electoral district. The Islamic Consultative Assembly ( fa, مجلس شورای اسلامی, Majles-e Showrā-ye Eslāmī), also called the Iranian Parliament, the Iranian Majles (Arabicised spelling Majlis) or ICA, is the national legislative body of Iran. Muhammad Sahimi
Muhammad Sahimi ( fa, محمد سهیمی; born 22 January 1954) is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, and holds the NIOC ( National Iranian Oil Company) Chair in petroleum engineering at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He is also active in journalism, writing frequently on Iranian politics. Career Sahimi received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 1977. After briefly working for the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), he received a scholarship from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and travelled to the US in 1978 (where he has since remained), completing his PhD at the University of Minnesota in 1984.
