''#Horror'' (pronounced "hashtag horror") is a 2015 American horror thriller film written and directed by Tara Subkoff, and starring Chloë Sevigny, Timothy Hutton, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, and Balthazar Getty. The plot follows a group of wealthy 7th grade girls who face a night of terror together after a social media game that twisted out of control. The film premiered on November 18, 2015, at the Museum of Modern Art, and was released in a limited release and through video on demand on November 20, 2015, by IFC Midnight. Plot Harry Cox is having sex in his car with his mistress, Lisa. After Lisa exits the car, his wife Alex calls him and chastises him on the phone. After he hangs up, his throat is slashed, and Lisa is also murdered. Twelve-year-old Sam is invited to a sleepover at classmate Sofia Cox's mansion in Connecticut. Tara Subkoff
Tara Lyn Subkoff (born December 10, 1972) is an American actress, conceptual artist, director, and fashion designer. Subkoff made her film debut in the thriller '' When the Bough Breaks'' (1994) opposite Martin Sheen, and has had supporting roles in ''As Good as It Gets'' (1997), ''The Last Days of Disco'' (1998), '' The Cell'' (2000), and ''The Notorious Bettie Page'' (2005). In 2001, she co-founded an art collective-turned-fashion line, Imitation of Christ, which featured pieces hand-sewn solely from recycled vintage and thrift store clothing, and has since worked primarily as a conceptual artist. In 2015, she made her feature film directorial debut with the horror film '' #Horror'' (2015), which was picked up for distribution by IFC Midnight. Bedford is a town in Westchester County, New York. The population was 17,335 at the 2010 census.
