Harry Harrison was an architect in Los Angeles, California. He designed the Modern Architecture style Chips coffee shop, an example of Googie Architecture. Harrison also design the Ritts Furniture building on Santa Monica Boulevard east of La Cienega Boulevard. It is now being used as the Hollywood Stock Exchange headquarters. Harrison also designed 1120 St Ives Place (1948) in Los Angeles for Hyman Engleberg, Marilyn Monroe's personal doctor. Henry Hopetoun Harrison (1 January 1901 – 7 March 1972) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon and Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Harry Harrison (born 5 December 1961) is a British born political cartoonist and illustrator based in Hong Kong. He is best known as the principal political cartoonist for the '' South China Morning Post'' (SCMP). However, he also illustrates children's books and provides satirical cartoons to many journals in the South China area. Biography Harry Harrison was born in England, but because his father was in the Air Force, he travelled, spending time in Libya and Singapore as well as Britain. He left school at 16 and took up a junior position in a supermarket, moving through a variety of careers and finally into illustration. In 1994 he moved from England to Hong Kong where he now lives on Lamma Island. Harry plays part-time in a band called the Yung Shue Wan Curs - a play on words relating to the village, Yung Shue Wan, near which he lives. Harry M. Harrison (September 20, 1930 – January 28, 2020) was an American radio personality, primarily in New York City, for over 50 years. Harrison is the only disc jockey to be a WMCA "Good Guy", a WABC "All-American", and a personality on WCBS-FM's oldies format. Harrison retired in June 2005. He was known as New York's "Morning Mayor" after having hosted morning drive time through most of his career. Early Harry M. Harrison was born on September 20, 1930, in Chicago to Harry Harrison and Mary (McKenna) Harrison. He attended a seminary with the intention of becoming a priest. Harry Harrison (21 November 1893 – 30 October 1975) was an English footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Middlesbrough, Durham City, Hartlepools United and Darlington, and in non-league football for Redcar Wednesday, Coatham United and Grangetown Athletic. Life and career Harrison was born in 1893 in Redcar, which was then in the North Riding of Yorkshire. He worked as a fishmonger. It has been erroneously reported by many modern-day sources that he played local football for his hometown club Redcar, but this is not true. In fact it was his brother William, who had reached the FA Amateur Cup final with Eston United F.C. in 1909. Harry Max Harrison (born Henry Maxwell Dempsey; March 12, 1925 – August 15, 2012) was an American science fiction author, known mostly for his character The Stainless Steel Rat and for his novel ''Make Room! Make Room!'' (1966). The latter was the rough basis for the motion picture ''Soylent Green'' (1973). Long resident in both Ireland and the United Kingdom, Harrison was involved in the foundation of the Irish Science Fiction Association, and was, with Brian Aldiss, co-president of the Birmingham Science Fiction Group.
