Harry Dalzell, 10th Earl Of Carnwath
Colonel Harry Burrard Dalzell, 10th Earl of Carnwath (11 November 1804 – 1 November 1887) was a Scottish nobleman and soldier. He was the son of Robert Alexander Dalzell, 6th Earl of Carnwath and Andulusia Browne. He married Isabella Campbell, daughter of Reverend Alexander Campbell, on 16 November 1827. They had the following children together: *Eleanor Carnwath Dalzell (died 29 May 1867) *Arthur John Dalzell (8 Apr 1829 – 9 April 1849) *Captain Robert Augustus Dalzell (13 October 1838 − 20 April 1869) *Lady Edith Isabella Dalzell (born 1843, died 7 May 1909), who married Admiral Edward Stanley Adeane (1836–1902) He was commissioned in 1820, in the service of the Bengal Artillery and gained the rank of Colonel in 1835. Lieutenant-General Robert Alexander Dalzell, 6th Earl of Carnwath, (1768–1839), was a Scottish nobleman and soldier. Lord Carnwath was the son of Robert Dalzell (1738−1788) (himself the son of Robert Dalzell, 5th Earl of Carnwath) and Elizabeth Acklom. He was married three times. He married, firstly, Jane Parkes, daughter of Samuel Parkes, on 23 September 1789. They had one daughter, Elizabeth Dalzell (1790−1801). Admiral Edward Stanley Adeane, (7 December 1836 – 18 October 1902) was a British Royal Navy admiral at the end of the 19th century. Background Adeane was born in 1836, the younger son of politician and Member of Parliament Henry John Adeane, of Babraham, Cambridgeshire, by his wife Honourable Matilda Abigail Stanley, daughter of John Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley. His elder brother Henry John Adeane (1833–1870) also served as a Member of Parliament. The Adeane family were landed gentry, tracing their ancestry to a Simon Adeane who died in 1686. Navy career Adeane entered the Royal Navy in 1850, and was a midshipman on board in the Baltic Sea during the Crimean War. General Arthur Alexander Dalzell, 9th Earl of Carnwath (15 September 1799 – 28 April 1875) was a Scottish nobleman and soldier.
