Harm Brouwer
Harm Brouwer (born 4 April 1957) is a Dutch politician who was a member of the House of Representatives for the Labour Party between 6 July 2016 and 23 March 2017. He previously served twice as a temporary member of the House, most recently from 1 March 2016 to 10 June 2016, when he replaced Lea Bouwmeester while she was pregnant and on maternity leave. Before that, he replaced Manon Fokke from 5 November 2015 to 12 January 2016, when she was pregnant and on maternity leave, after she had previously been temporarily replaced by Joyce Vermue. Career Brouwer was born on 4 April 1957 in Anloo. House Of Representatives (Netherlands)
The House of Representatives (, pronounced ; commonly referred to as the ', literally "Second Chamber of the States General") is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Anloo
Anloo is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 10 km east of Assen. History The village was first mentioned in 1139 as Anloe. The etymology in unclear. Anloo is an ''esdorp'' which developed in the Early Middle Ages on the Hondsrug. It was the capital of the ' (medieval judicial area) Oostermoer, one of six ''dingspel''s of Drenthe. The village has two ''brinks'' (village squares). Joyce Vermue (born 22 June 1985) is a Dutch politician. She was a member of the House of Representatives (Netherlands), House of Representatives of the Netherlands for the Labour Party (Netherlands), Labour Party between 22 September 2015 and 23 March 2017. She has been mayor of Zundert since July 2019. Career Vermue was born on 22 June 1985 in Oostburg. The Federation of Dutch Trade Unions ( nl, Federatie Nederlandse Vakbeweging, FNV) is a national trade union centre in the Netherlands. History The FNV was founded in 1976 from the merger of the Dutch Catholic Trade Union Federation (NKV) and the social-democratic Dutch Confederation of Trade Unions (NVV). The Protestant Christian National Trade Union Federation (CNV) originally also participated in the talks, but it refused to fully merge into a new union. The federation was founded because of declining membership, due to depillarisation and increasing political polarisation between left and right. 2012 Dutch General Election
Early general elections were held in the Netherlands on 12 September 2012 after Prime Minister Mark Rutte handed in his government's resignation to Queen Beatrix on 23 April. The 150 seats of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands were contested using party-list proportional representation.
