Hard Believer
''Hard Believer'' is the sixth studio album by British band Fink. It was released globally by Ninja Tune's imprint R'COUP'D on 14 July 2014. Promotion "Looking Too Closely" was released as the lead single to promote the album on 8 July 2014. An official music video for the song, directed by Joffrey Jans and Kai Kurve (Wolf&Lamm Directors Duo), was released onto YouTube on 2 July 2014. On 7 October 2014, a music video for the second single, "Shakespeare", premiered on YouTube. It was directed by Oliver Murray. An extended play containing remixes of the song will be released digitally on 13 October 2014. Fink (singer)
Fin Greenall, known professionally as Fink, is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and disc jockey born in Cornwall and currently based in Berlin and London. From 1997 to 2003, he focused on electronic music and DJ'd internationally, releasing in 2000 his debut album ''Fresh Produce'' on Ninja Tune. Since the 2006 release of his album ''Biscuits for Breakfast'', the name Fink has also referred to the recording and touring trio fronted by Greenall himself, completed by Guy Whittaker (bass) and Tim Thornton (musician, born 1973), Tim Thornton (drums). Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London. It has a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More (better known as Coldcut) and managed by Peter Quicke and others. Tim Thornton (born 1973) is an English musician, composer and novelist. He is best known as the drummer and guitarist for the English electronica group Fink. Early life He was born in Darlington. After a boarding-school education, he completed a degree in drama. Musicianship In 2012, Thornton's music for the British short film ''Fish!'' was nominated for Best Score (Short Film) at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema and gained an Honorable Mention. Mentrix
Samar Rad, known professionally as Mentrix, is an Iranian-born musician, songwriter and multidisciplinary artist, currently based in Berlin. Her music often fuses traditional Iranian instruments and vocal styles with electronics. Life and career Samar was born in Tehran, Iran, where she lived until she was 8, at the end of the Iran-Iraq war. Thereafter her childhood was divided between France and her country of birth. Her early adult years were spent in Paris, where she attended university, and the UK. It was in the UK that she began to experiment with music, inspired by her Sufi practice.
