Happy Halloween (Dreamworld)
The following is a list of events that have been held at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Australia. Annual events Happy Halloween In 2004, Dreamworld held a Halloween themed night event called Fright Night during April 2004. The event was the first ever Halloween themed event at any Gold Coast amusement park. The event was also the final time guests could experience Lara Croft Tomb Raider - Enter the Tomb before it was closed and replaced by new Wiggles themed rides. In 2019, Dreamworld announced a family friendly Halloween event that will be held in October instead of April. The event would feature Gold Coast's largest trick or treating event, a family hay maze, a costume contest and much more entertainment. In 2020, Dreamworld was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its events such as Park After Dark and Winterfest were cancelled. Dreamworld (Australia)
Dreamworld is a theme park and zoo situated on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is Australia's biggest theme park with over 40 rides and attractions. Attractions ranges from thrill rides such as The Claw and Pandamonium to family and kids attractions such as the Dreamworld Express and Sky Voyager. Among the 40+ attractions includes the world's third tallest and fastest drop tower, The Giant Drop and The Gold Coaster, the oldest operating steel roller coaster in Queensland. The park is made up of several themed lands: Ocean Parade, DreamWorks Experience, ABC Kids World, Tiger Island, Main Street, Gold Rush Country, WhiteWater World and Corroboree. Peppa Pig
''Peppa Pig'' is a British preschool animated television series by Astley Baker Davies. The show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet, and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. The show first aired on 31 May 2004. The seventh season began broadcasting on 5 March 2021. ''Peppa Pig'' has been broadcast in over 180 countries. Peppa herself has been voiced by several different performers through the years. Motocross
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. Inline Skates
Inline skates are a type of roller skate used for inline skating. Unlike quad skates, which have two front and two rear wheels, inline skates typically have two to five wheels arranged in a single line. Skateboard
A skateboard is a type of sports equipment used for skateboarding. They are usually made of a specially designed 7-8 ply maple plywood deck and polyurethane wheels attached to the underside by a pair of skateboarding trucks. The skateboarder moves by pushing with one foot while the other foot remains balanced on the board, or by pumping one's legs in structures such as a bowl or half pipe. Shockwave (Dreamworld)
Shockwave is a Zamperla Disk'O Coaster in the Ocean Parade area of the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The ride opened on 25 June 2011. History On 16 February 2011, Ardent Leisure released the financial results for the six months ending December 2010 as well as an outlook for 2011. This outlook announced the plans to have an Easter promotion, the addition of two new rides, and a further "new product" during the course of 2011. On 7 April 2011, further details were announced stating that one of these new rides would be a family thrill ride set to open in June. Just days after this announcement, construction began in a location between Ocean Parade and Nickelodeon Central. BuzzSaw (roller Coaster)
BuzzSaw was a Maurer AG SkyLoop roller coaster located within the Gold Rush Country section of the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold Coast of Australia. The ride began operation on 17 September 2011 as part of Dreamworld's 30th birthday celebrations. The ride was permanently closed on 31 August 2021, due to Dreamworld prioritising future development plans. BuzzSaw was one of Dreamworld's seven thrill rides and had a track length of . The steel ride consisted of a single train which held 12 riders and lasted approximately 50 seconds. BuzzSaw featured the tallest inversion in the Southern Hemisphere and was the second-highest inversion of its type in the world. The Wiggles
The Wiggles are an Australian children's music group formed in Sydney in 1991. The group are currently composed of Anthony Field, Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce and Tsehay Hawkins, as well as supporting members Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete and Lucia Field. The Wiggles were founded in 1991 by Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt, Greg Page and Phillip Wilcher. Wilcher left the group after their first album.
