Happiness And Disaster
''Happiness & Disaster'' is the first full-length album by Canadian indie rock band Stabilo. The album debuted at #6 on the digital album chart and #20 on the Soundscan Top 200. The first single and video is " Flawed Design", which has been played live since at least May 2004. The second single and video is " Kidding Ourselves", which was released in July 2006. The song "Beautiful Madness" is a re-recording of the song that is found on '' The Beautiful Madness EP'' which was independently released in 2002 under their original name, Stabilo Boss. Also featured as a bonus track is a new version of their hit "Everybody" re-recorded during the ''Happiness & Disaster'' recording sessions in late 2005. Stabilo (band)
Stabilo (originally Stabilo Boss) was a Canadian rock band from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. It formed in 1999 and is best known for its songs " Everybody", "One More Pill", " Don't Look in Their Eyes", " Flawed Design", and " Kidding Ourselves". Band’s history Before Stabilo Members Jesse Dryfhout and Christopher John (then Chris Moerman) were high-school classmates who played in a band called Molly along with Shaun Bennett and McKenzie Dougall. Molly released their only EP ''Ghosts of Yesterday'' in 1997. Dryfhout was originally the drummer of the band until he came to the band with the first song that he had ever written: "Everybody". Soon after, he and John started to share song-writing and singing duties. Brad Wood
Brad Wood is an American record producer located in Los Angeles. He has produced many albums, including Liz Phair's ''Exile in Guyville'' and Placebo's debut. Career Wood is from Rockford, Illinois, United States. In 1988, Wood, along with Brian Deck and Daniel Sonis built Idful Music Corporation recording studio in Chicago's Wicker Park. While at Idful he recorded and produced hundreds of records, including Liz Phair's ''Exile in Guyville'', Veruca Salt's ''American Thighs'', Ben Lee's ''Grandpa Would'', Sunny Day Real Estate's ''Diary'' and ''LP2'', and albums by Red Red Meat, Seam, That Dog, and others. In addition to producing records, Brad was the drummer/soprano saxophonist for Shrimp Boat and touring drummer for Liz Phair (1993–94). Copy Control
Copy Control was the generic name of a copy prevention system, used from 2001 until 2006 on several digital audio disc releases by EMI Group and Sony BMG Music Entertainment in several regions (Europe, Canada, United States, and Australia). It should not be confused with the CopyControl computer software copy protection system introduced by Microcosm Ltd in 1989. Several types of protection existed. While basically intended as a means of copy-protecting compact discs, Copy Control discs cannot properly be referred to as CDs because the system introduces incompatible data, making the discs non-compliant with the Red Book standard for audio CDs. The system is intended to prevent digital audio extraction ("ripping") from the protected discs, and thus limit the file sharing of ripped music.
