Hano, Arizona
Hano is a populated place situated in the First Mesa CDP in Navajo County, Arizona, United States, on the Hopi Reservation. It is located on the southern end of First Mesa, approximately west of Polacca. It has an estimated elevation of above sea level. History The village was settled by the Hopi-Tewa, a band of Tewa people, in the early 17th century on First Mesa. Name The village has been known by a plethora of names, including Ha-no-me, Hanoki, Janogualpa, Na-ca-ci-kin, Tanoquevi, Tanus, Te-e-wun-na, and Tewa. Hanö
Hanö is an island off Listerlandet peninsula, western Blekinge, Sweden. From 1810 to 1812, during the Napoleonic Wars the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom used the island as its base during its operations in the Baltic Sea. The "English cemetery" is situated on the island, and still today British warships visit the island to pay tribute to the fifteen sailors who rest there. constructed a big wooden cross on the spot of the graveyard which is visible several miles out to sea. The Hopi-Tewa (also Tano, Southern Tewa, Hano, Thano, or Arizona Tewa) are a Tewa Pueblo group that resides on the eastern part of the Hopi Reservation on or near First Mesa in northeastern Arizona. Synonymy The name ''Tano'' is a Spanish borrowing of an older Hopi-Tewa autonym ''tʰáánu tééwa''. ''Tano'' is often encountered in the anthropological literature referring to the ancestors of the Arizona Tewa before they relocated to Hopi territory. Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "Hano" written and performed by Nino Pršeš. The Bosnian broadcaster Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PBSBiH) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their relegation in 2000 as one of the six countries with the lowest average scores over the previous five contests. PBSBiH organised the national final ''BH Eurosong 2001'' in order to select the Bosnian entry for 2001 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nineteen entries participated during the show on 10 March 2001 and an eight-member jury selected "Hano" performed by Nino Pršeš as the winner. The Housing Authority of New Orleans is a housing authority in New Orleans, Louisiana, tasked with providing housing to low-income residents. History Public housing in New Orleans has been subject to federal control for a number of years before Hurricane Katrina. Raga (also known as Hano) is the language of northern Pentecost Island in Vanuatu. Like all Vanuatu languages, Raga belongs to the Oceanic subgroup of the Austronesian languages family. In old sources the language is sometimes referred to by the names of villages in which it is spoken, such as Bwatvenua (Qatvenua), Lamalanga, Vunmarama and Loltong. It is the most conservative language of Pentecost Island, having preserved final vowels while also retaining the five-vowel system inherited from Proto-Oceanic, compared to other languages spoken on the island, which have all developed additional vowels in addition to pervasive vowel deletion. With an estimated 6,500 native speakers (in the year 2000), Raga is the second most widely spoken of Pentecost's five native languages (after Apma), and the seventh largest vernacular in Vanuatu as a whole. Johannes Hano
Johannes Hano (born 1963) is a German journalist who has won the RIAS Television Award, the Hanns Joachim Friedrichs Award, and the Bavarian TV Awards for his documentaries and work in the field of journalism. Biography Hano graduated from school having studied political science and administrative law in Frankfurt. He continued in several internships, and eventually, a job as a freelance journalist from 1994 to 2002. Afterwards, he went to work at the Landesstudio Hamburg from 1994 to 1998. He worked as a planning editor and reporter for the ZDF morning magazine until 1999. Whilst working at the ZDF he focused on domestic policy and the Kosovo War. Following this, he would go on to report for the Hauptstadtstudio Berlin until 2001. Then, he became a correspondent from the Bundestag.
