Hano (song)
Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "Hano" written and performed by Nino Pršeš. The Bosnian broadcaster Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PBSBiH) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their relegation in 2000 as one of the six countries with the lowest average scores over the previous five contests. PBSBiH organised the national final ''BH Eurosong 2001'' in order to select the Bosnian entry for 2001 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nineteen entries participated during the show on 10 March 2001 and an eight-member jury selected "Hano" performed by Nino Pršeš as the winner. Nino Pršeš
Vahidin-Nino Pršeš (born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Yugoslavia) is a Bosnians, Bosnian singer. Upon completion of Music High School he continued to pursue his studies at the Sarajevo Music Academy , Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy. Nino Pršeš has performed as a keyboardist with many pop and rock bands and has cooperated with many performers from Bosnia and Herzegovina arranging compositions for them. He is greatly inspired by ethno music. In 2001, he released his first solo album "Ženi se" (''Get Married''). Several songs from this album became hits and have been played on numerous radio and TV programs. Nino Pršeš wrote, composed and performed the song ''Hano (song), Hano'' at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001. He reached a 14th place. Dušan Šestić
Dušan Šestić ( sr-cyr, Душан Шестић; born 1946) is a Bosnian musician and composer; he composed the national anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Early life and education Šestić, a Bosnian Serb, was born Banja Luka in 1946. He studied the violin at the Music Academy in Belgrade, Serbia. Career Šestić began his professional career at the JNA Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade, Serbia. He was a musician at the Military Orchestra in Split, Croatia, where he lived from 1984 to 1991. Mija Martina Barbarić (born 26 April 1984) is a Bosnian Croat singer and TV host from Bosnia and Herzegovina who used to work as a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sead Lipovača
Sead "Zele" Lipovača (; born 31 August 1955) is a Bosnian guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist and founder of the popular former Yugoslav and Bosnian heavy metal band Divlje jagode. Prior to the forming of Divlje Jagode in 1977 he had been a member of ´Novi Akordi´, "Biseri", "Selekcija" and "Zenit". Lipovača, alongside Marina Tucaković became spiritus movens of the disco band "Mirzino Jato" following the release of their first album in 1978. In 1980 the work of Divlje Jagode continues with a new lineup, one of the new members were bassist Alen Islamović, the new album marked the shift towards heavy metal. Fuad Backović (born 12 April 1982), better known by his stage name Deen, is a Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian pop recording artist, reality star and fashion designer. Backović was the lead singer of the Bosnian boy band 7Up from 1997 until 2002, when he became a solo artist. Aldin Kurić (born 21 July 1970), known by his stage name Al'Dino, is a Bosnian singer, songwriter and composer. Biography Aldin Kurić was born in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina which was then a part of SFR Yugoslavia, where he enrolled in elementary music school, Department of harmonics, simultaneously playing the piano and guitar. Bosnia and Herzegovina made their début at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Millstreet, Ireland. Fazla represented Bosnia and Herzegovina with the song "Sva bol svijeta".
