Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra () was founded on December 25, 2007 and completed its establishment on April 20, 2009, with Deng Jingshan as the President, Yang Yang as the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Guan Haochuan and Lin Shangzhuan as the Vice President. Besides, Ning Feng Ning Feng (宁峰, born 1982) is a Chinese violinist. He was born in Chengdu, China, and is based in Berlin. Career Ning Feng started playing the violin at a very young age and shortly after his fourth birthday he began lessons with Hu Weimin, ..., the famous violinist, and Qin Liwei (Chinese: 秦立巍), the famous cellist, are the Resident Artists of the Orchestra while Xue Biao is the Concertmaster and Xu Weiling the Guest Concertmaster. Yang Yang (conductor)
Yang Yang (杨洋) is the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. Yang Yang has conducted more than 20 domestic and foreign symphony orchestras. Yang started his career in 1998 at the first Beijing Musical Festival, and continued to conduct there for the next seven years. From 2000 to 2005, Yang held the position of Assistant Conductor at the China Philharmonic Orchestra, and is currently their Assistant Art Director. He became the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2009. In November 2006, he won First Place at the Dimitris Mitropoulos International Competition for Orchestral Conducting in Greece. It was the first time a Chinese conductor received this honor. Ning Feng
Ning Feng (宁峰, born 1982) is a Chinese violinist. He was born in Chengdu, China, and is based in Berlin. Career Ning Feng started playing the violin at a very young age and shortly after his fourth birthday he began lessons with Hu Weimin, at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. He later went to London, England, to study at the Royal Academy of Music, and his teacher there, Hu Kun, was the son of his first teacher. He was the first student to ever receive a 100% grade for his final recital. After that, he studied with Antje Weithaas in Berlin, at the Hanns Eisler School of Music. He went on to win prizes at the Hannover International Violin Competition, Queen Elisabeth Competition, and Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists, and was First Prize winner of the 2005 Michael Hill International Violin Competition (New Zealand). Xue () is the pinyin romanization of the Chinese surname 薛 (Xuē). It is romanized as Hsüeh in Wade-Giles. In Hong Kong and Macau it is usually romanized through its Cantonese pronunciation Sit.
