Hangin' Tough Tour
The Hangin' Tough Tour was a concert tour of the boy band New Kids on the Block, launched to support their album ''Hangin' Tough''. Background Since the 1988 release of ''Hangin' Tough'', the New Kids had performed as the opening act for fellow teen pop singer Tiffany's successful North American tour. Due to a sudden rise of the group's popularity, Tiffany wound up opening for them on this tour, but they were credited as co-headliners. Recordings The group's June 5 concert at the Mayan Theater was filmed and released as ''Hangin' Tough- Live''. The Home video was certified 12× platinum by RIAA for selling over 1.2 million copies in United States. New Kids on the Block (also initialized as NKOTB) is an American boy band from Dorchester, Massachusetts. The band consists of brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. New Kids on the Block enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have sold more than 80 million records worldwide, are considered the first modern boy band and are often credited for paving the way for future boy bands such as Take That, Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC. "This One's for the Children" is a 1989 single by New Kids on the Block. The lead vocals were sung by Jordan Knight and Donnie Wahlberg. Taken from the group's holiday album, '' Merry, Merry Christmas'', the single peaked at number 7 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in December 1989, and number 9 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1990. Featured on the song's B-side was "Funky, Funky Xmas", which was an airplay only single promoted during the holiday season. Thomas Alden Page (May 24, 1967 – March 3, 2017) was an American singer-songwriter, best known for his 1990 hit single " I'll Be Your Everything" and was later a music industry executive. Page collaborated with many artists, including Malaysian singers Amy Mastura and Fauziah Latiff. Early life Page was born in 1967 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to parents Fred and Miriam Page. He grew up in nearby West Caldwell. He graduated from James Caldwell High School in 1985. Six Flags Atlantis (later operated as Atlantis the Water Kingdom) was a water park in Hollywood, Florida, that occupied 65 acres on the southeastern intersection of Stirling Road ( State Road 848) and I-95. The park included a wave pool, a lake with water ski shows, a seven-story slide tower, picnic area, stores and arcades, shows, and activities for all ages. History Begun as a private venture originally known as "Atlantis the Water Kingdom", funding ran out before construction ended. The park sat partially completed for several months before Six Flags opened "Six Flags Atlantis" in 1983. In 1989 the park was sold. Six Flags AstroWorld, also known simply as AstroWorld, was a seasonally operated amusement park in Houston, Texas.
