Yuki Uchida
(born November 16, 1975) is a Japanese actress, and a popular 1990s idol, model and singer. Biography Uchida was born in Tokyo. She practiced fencing in high school, and ranked 3rd in a tournament in Tokyo in 1991. She began her career as a model in commercials, notably for the confectionery company ''Lotte'' (ロッテ), then debuted in acting in 1992 in the drama '' Sono Toki, Heart wa Nusumareta''. She became a swimsuit model for the swimwear company Unitika in 1993, and got popular as an idol, partly due to her then unusual tomboyish look with short hair and husky voice. , is a Japanese ''shōjo'' manga series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio and set in Tokyo, Japan, and the fictional "Eitoku Academy" (an elite school for children from rich families). It tells the story of Tsukushi Makino, a girl from a middle-class family, whose mother enrolls her in an elite high school to compete with the families from her husband's company. While at Eitoku, she encounters the F4, a gang of four young men who are children of Japan's wealthiest families and who bully anyone that gets in their way. The manga was launched in Shueisha's '' Margaret'' magazine in October 1992 and ran until January 2004. Two epilogue chapters were later published in ''Margaret'', in July 2006 and January 2008. TRF (an abbreviation of Tetsuya Komuro Rave Factory) is a Japanese pop band. Its members are DJ Koo, Sam, Etsu, Yu-ki and Chiharu. History The band debuted as "trf" in the year 1993. During the period of 1994 to 1995, the band released 5 singles produced by Tetsuya Komuro, each selling over a million copies under the Avex record label. In 1995, their song "Overnight Sensation: Jidai wa Anata ni Yudaneteru" received a Japan Record Award. The following year, the band changed their name to an all-capital "TRF" with their single "Hey!
