David Halvorson
David Philip Halvorson (July 9, 1948 – July 1, 2013) was an American politician. Born in Sidney, Montana, Halvorson graduated from Williston High School in Williston, North Dakota. Halvorson received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota and was in ROTC. He went to the United States Military Academy for two years for military training and studies. He then returned to Montana and was in the radio business. He was also a wheat farmer. Halvorson served in the Montana House of Representatives as a Republican from 2013 until his death from cancer. Deborah L. Halvorson (born March 1, 1958) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2009 until 2011. Previously, she served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 through 2009. She is a member of the Democratic Party. George Halvorson (born January 28, 1947) is a retired American healthcare executive who served as CEO of Kaiser Permanente. He is the Chair and CEO of the Institute for InterGroup Understanding. Harlyn ( kw, ar-Lyn, meaning ''facing a pool'') is a small village on the north coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated inland from Harlyn Bay ( kw, Porth Lys, meaning ''court cove'') three miles from Padstow and about one mile from St. Merryn. Henry Theodore Halvorson (June 27, 1883 – June 27, 1943) was a lumber salesman and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Cypress in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1921 to 1929 as a Liberal. Josephine Halvorson (born 1981) is an American contemporary painter, sculptor, and print maker based in Massachusetts. She is best known for her on-site paintings, drawing from scenes of the natural world and everyday life. Her work bends material fact and immaterial illusion. Kittel Halvorson (December 15, 1846 – July 12, 1936) was a U.S. Representative from Minnesota. Biography Kittel Halvorson was born near Tuddal in Hjartdal parish, Telemark, Norway. In 1848, he immigrated to the United States with his parents, who settled near Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin. They subsequently moved to Columbia County and then to Winnebago County. He attended the public schools in Winchester, Wisconsin. In 1863, Halvorson enlisted in Company C, First Regiment, Wisconsin Heavy Artillery, and served until the close of the Civil War.
