Halle Range
The Halle Range or Halle Mountains ( da, Hallebjergene) is a mountain range in Clavering Island, King Christian X Land, northeastern Greenland. Administratively this range is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park zone. The range was named by Lauge Koch during his 1929–30 expedition after Thore Gustav Halle (1884–1964), a professor at the University of Stockholm who had worked on the plant samples brought by the expedition. Formerly it had been also known as ''Joh. H. Andresenfjellet''. Geography The Halle Range is an up to 1200 m high little glaciated mountain massif located in the southwest part of Clavering Island ''(Clavering Ø)''. Its average elevation is 912 m and the highest point of the range is 1272 m high Bramsen Bjerg. The Vildbækdalen is a valley in the heart of the range. The area of the Halle mountains is uninhabited. Vestmar Bjerg
Grenland is a traditional district in the county of Vestfold og Telemark, in the south-east of Norway. Located in the southeastern part of the county, Grenland is composed of the municipalities Skien, Porsgrunn, Bamble, and Siljan. Sometimes the municipalities Kragerø and Drangedal of the smaller Vestmar region are also considered to be part of the area. The region encompasses 1,794 km2 and has 122,978 inhabitants (2004), which translates as 12% of the area and 64% of the population of Telemark. Grenland is the core of a slightly larger traditional district known as Nedre Telemark ("Lower Telemark") which also includes Bø, Sauherad and Heddal. The House of Moltke is the name of an old German noble family. The family was originally from Mecklenburg, but apart from Germany, some of the family branches also resided throughout Scandinavia. Langelinie (Greenland)
Langelinie (English: Long Line) is a pier, promenade and park in central Copenhagen, Denmark, and home of ''The Little Mermaid'' statue. The area has for centuries been a popular destination for excursions and strolls in Copenhagen. Most cruise ships arriving in Copenhagen also berth at Langelinie Pier. History Military area and the first promenade The name Langelinie goes back to the middle of the 17th century where it referred to an idyllic path along the Øresund coast that rounded the citadel Kastellet and continued towards a lime kiln north of the city. For a long time, the stretch was a military area where civilians were not granted unrestricted access. Under a general order from 1819, soldiers were required to "throw water in the head and on the breast and to cool their feet in the water".
