Halil Kanacević
Halil Kanacević (born October 23, 1991) is an American-born Montenegrin professional basketball player for Trikala Aries of the Greek Basket League. Previously, he played basketball with Saint Joseph's University, where he helped lead the team to the 2014 Atlantic 10 championship. Personal life Kanacević was born in South Beach, Staten Island, New York to ethnic Albanian parents from Bar, Montenegro. His parents emigrated to the United States from SR Montenegro, SFR Yugoslavia in the late 1980s. High school career Kanacević attended and played basketball for Curtis High School. Although he excelled, Curtis was a chronically overlooked high school in basketball circles, and had the misfortune of barely missing chances to make long runs in New York high school basketball competition. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. The Basketball Tournament
The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. The 2022 edition features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize, broadcast by ESPN. TBT was founded in 2014 by Jonathan Mugar. Format Teams in TBT are arranged by the general manager, sometimes based on which college basketball program the players competed for. The tournament has had as many as 97 teams, in 2015, and as few as 24 teams, in 2020. Since 2016, the tournament has most often used a 64-team field. Philip Martelli Sr. (born August 31, 1954) is an American college basketball coach, who is currently the associate head coach for the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball, Michigan Wolverines. The 2014 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 68 teams playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball.
