Haley Tanner
Haley Tanner is an American writer and novelist. Literary career Tanner's first novel, ''Vaclav & Lena'', was published by Random House in 2011. The titular characters are growing up in Brooklyn's Russian immigrant community. She has been interviewed by ''The Forward'' and NPR. Personal life Tanner was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. She holds an MFA in creative writing from The New School. Tanner and her partner, musician Josh Ritter, had their first child, Beatrix Wendylove Ritter, on November 11, 2012. They own a home together in Woodstock, New York. The New School

Random House
Random House is an American book publisher and the largest general-interest paperback publisher in the world. The company has several independently managed subsidiaries around the world. Josh Ritter
Josh Ritter (born October 21, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and author who performs and records with the Royal City Band. Ritter is known for his distinctive Americana style and narrative lyrics. In 2006, he was named one of the "100 Greatest Living Songwriters" by '' Paste'' magazine. Early life Ritter was born on October 21, 1976, in Moscow, Idaho, to Robert and Sue Ritter. His fascination with music began when he first heard Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan's "Girl from the North Country" on his parents' copy of ''Nashville Skyline'', and he purchased his first guitar at a local K-Mart. Woodstock is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States, in the northern part of the county, northwest of Kingston, NY. It lies within the borders of the Catskill Park.
