HaMahanot HaOlim
Hamahanot Haolim is the first youth study group with Zionistic and socialistic philosophy to be founded in Israel. Since its inception in 1929, members of Hamahanot Haolim have continually worked to promote a wide range of projects that benefit Israeli society. There are currently over fifty branches throughout Israel and over 10,000 members. History The group’s history began at the Herzliyah Gymnasium School in Tel Aviv. The Herzliyah Gymnasium School, which opened its doors in 1905 in Jaffa and then moved to the Ahuzat Bait neighborhood in 1909, was the first Hebrew high school in the world. At that time, it was common for high school graduates to travel overseas for vacation or continuing education, rather than staying in Palestine, where conditions were may have been more difficult. International Falcon Movement – Socialist Educational International
The International Falcon Movement – Socialist Educational International (IFM-SEI) is an international non-profit organisation based in Belgium that campaigns for children's rights. It is a fraternal organisation of Socialist International and works closely with International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) and Young European Socialists (formerly ECOSY). IFM-SEI is a full member of the European Youth Forum (YFJ) which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union area and works closely with both these bodies. In Latin-America it is a full member of the Foro Latin-America de Juventud ( FLAJ). The Jezreel Valley (from the he, עמק יזרעאל, translit. ''ʿĒmeq Yīzrəʿēʿl''), or Marj Ibn Amir ( ar, مرج ابن عامر), also known as the Valley of Megiddo, is a large fertile plain and inland valley in the Northern District of Israel. Harod Valley
The Harod Valley ( he, עמק חרוד, Emek Harod) is a valley in the Northern District of Israel. It is the eastern part of the Jezreel Valley,a transitional zone that extends to the Beit She'an Valley. From south it locked by Mount Gilboa and by the Issachar Plateau from north. It is named after the Ma'ayan Harod ("Spring of Harod", i.e., "Spring of Goliath") at the edge of the valley. It is naturally separated from the western part of the Jezreel valley by a watershed. While the Jezreel Valley is drained via the Kishon River to the Mediterranean Sea, the Harod Valley is drained through the Harod Stream ("Nahal Harod", "Wadi Jalud" in Arabic), which flows from Givat HaMoreh via Beit She'an Valley into the Jordan River. Woodcraft Folk is a UK-based educational movement for children and young people.
