Hrvatski nogometni klub Šibenik ( en, Croatian Football Club Šibenik), better known as HNK Šibenik or simply Šibenik (), is a Croatian professional football club based in Šibenik. It competes in the Croatian Football League, and plays their home matches at the Stadion Šubićevac, which has a capacity of 3,412. History The club was formed in 1932 under the name Radničko sportsko društvo Šibenik (''Workers' Sport Association Šibenik''). The first president, Dr Martin Čičin-Šain, was only appointed to this role during the first board meeting, which was held in August 1933. They played in a stadium in the town area of Crnica, next to the La Dalmatienne factory. The playing field was officially opened on 31 May 1936. Stadion Šubićevac, also known simply as Šubićevac, is an association football stadium in Šibenik, Croatia. It is the home stadium of HNK Šibenik football club. The stadium has a capacity of 3,412, all of which is seated. The stadium was in the Communist era named after the leader of Yugoslav Partisans Rade Končar and known as Stadion Rade Končar. Last time it was renovated in the summer of 2020. History Construction of a new stadium began in early 1946, as part of the sports complex which featured a football pitch, athletics track, courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball and concrete stands. The location chosen for the project was an area called Šubićevac, which is where Rade Končar, a notable Second World War anti-fascist fighter, was executed by the Italian army along with 25 other members of the resistance. 2015–16 Croatian Second Football League
The 2015–16 Croatian Second Football League (also known as Druga HNL or 2. HNL) is the 25th season of the Croatian Second Football League, the second level football competition for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 14 August 2015 and will end on 21 May 2016. The league is contested by twelve teams and played in a triple round robin format, with each team playing every other team three times over 33 rounds. At the end of the previous season Inter Zaprešić were promoted, returning to the top flight after two seasons, while Bistra were relegated in their début season. Hrvatski nogometni klub Cibalia, commonly known as Cibalia Vinkovci or simply Cibalia, is a Croatian football club from the town of Vinkovci in eastern Croatia. Cibalia currently play in the Prva NL, Croatia's second tier league. Their stadium is located in the south part of their home town and can hold 10,000 spectators. 2012–13 Croatian Second Football League
The 2012–13 Druga HNL (also known as 2. HNL) is the 22nd season of Croatia's second level football competition since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 18 August 2012 and is expected to end on 1 June 2013. NK Dugopolje were league champions and earned a place in Croatia's first division, but were unable to complete all the requirement necessary for top league license. None of the teams from 2011–12 season were promoted to 1. HNL. Format The league is contested by 16 teams (one more than in the previous season). Only three teams from Treća HNL were granted license for competing in the Druga HNL, but only Primorac 1929 and Zelina were promoted. The 2011–12 Croatian First Football League (officially known as the MAXtv Prva Liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 21st season of the Croatian First Football League, the national championship for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 23 July 2011 and ended on 12 May 2012. Format changes On 5 July 2010 the Croatian Football Federation Executive committee reached a decision to reduce the number of teams competing in Prva HNL to twelve for the 2011–12 season of the competition.
