HK Ajkule Ilidža 2010 is an ice hockey team in Ilidža, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The team was founded in 2002, and plays in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League. Despite being from Ilidža, the club plays its games at Olympic Hall Zetra, in Sarajevo. History HK Ajkule Ilidža 2010 was founded in 2002 as HK Ilidža 2010 and joined the Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League to compete in its inaugural season. HK Ilidža 2010 finished second in the 2002–03 regular season standings and qualified for the best of three playoffs with first place finisher HK Bosna. Ilidža finished as runners-up after losing the first two games to HK Bosna. After the end of the 2002–03 season the league was disbanded for six years before returning in 2009. Ilidža
Ilidža ( sr-cyrl, Илиџа, ) is a town and a municipality located in Sarajevo Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a total population of 66,730 with 63,528 in Ilidža itself, and is a chief suburb of Sarajevo and ''de facto'' its neighborhood. It is best known for the Vrelo Bosne spring, as well as the natural environment of its surroundings and historical tradition dating back to Neolithic times. Sarajevo International Airport is located nearby. Geography Ilidža is known to have a pleasant and attractive geography. 2011–12 Bosnia And Herzegovina Hockey League Season
The 2011–12 Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League is the 4th season of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League (BHHL). It started on January 9, 2012. League business Prior to the start of the 2011–12 season it was announced that HK Bosna and left the league to play in the newly formed Open Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an international league with teams from Bulgaria, Greece, and the Republic of Macedonia. HK Ilidža 2010 was renamed HK Ajkule Ilidža 2010 for the season and also changed their team logo. All games will again be played in Sarajevo at the Olympic Hall Zetra, now known as Olympic Hall Juan Antonio Samaranch. Each team will play ten games for the season before the playoff. HK Medvjedi, previously HK Alfa, is an ice hockey club from Sarajevo, Bosnia. The club was founded in 2003 and plays in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League. History HK Alfa was founded in 2003 but did not enter an active league until 2009 when they joined the Bosnia and Herzegovina Hockey League which had returned after a six year hiatus.
