HEC Montréal (french: École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal) is a public Canadian business school located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1907, HEC Montréal is the graduate business school of the Université de Montréal and known as the first established school of management in Canada. Esdras Minville
Esdras Minville (November 7, 1896 in Grande-Vallée – December 9, 1975) was a Canadian writer, economist and sociologist. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Université de Montréal, and was the first French-Canadian to serve as head of HEC Montréal. A staunch defender of Catholic social doctrine, Minville helped to found several co-operatives in the province. He contributed to the Rowell-Sirois Commission, and chaired the Montreal Chamber of Commerce in 1947. His nationalist ideas resembled those of Victor Barbeau, François-Albert Angers and Lionel Groulx. Berluti is a prestigious leather maker that manufactures menswear, especially the leather finishing of calfskin, kangaroo leather and alligator skin in its production of shoes and boots. It makes leather belts, bags, and wallets, as well as bespoke and ready-to-wear garments. Established in 1895 by Italian Alessandro Berluti of Marche, Berluti is based in Paris on rue Marbeuf. Antoine Arnault (born 4 June 1977) is a French businessman; the vice-chairman and former CEO of Christian Dior SE. He is the son of Billionaire and CEO of Louis Vuitton, Bernard Arnault. Dan Hanganu
Dan Sergiu Hanganu, (January 27, 1939 – October 5, 2017) was a Romanian-born Canadian architect. Based in Montreal, Quebec, he designed a number of prominent Quebec buildings, including the new wing of the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, the HEC Montréal building, the concert Hall of Rimouski, the UQAM design school and several other mixed-use, commercial, residential and cultural buildings in Montreal, Europe and Asia. Hanganu was the recipient of an impressive list of awards and publications, including; the Order of Canada, the Governor General's award and was also awarded the RAIC gold medal in 2008 for lifetime achievement. René Lévesque
René Lévesque (; August 24, 1922 – November 1, 1987) was a Québécois politician and journalist who served as the 23rd premier of Quebec from 1976 to 1985. He was the first Québécois political leader since Confederation to attempt, through a referendum, to negotiate the political independence of Quebec. Starting his career as a reporter, and radio and television host, he later became known for his eminent role in Quebec's nationalization of hydro, and as an ardent defender of Quebec sovereignty. Robert Bourassa
Robert Bourassa (; July 14, 1933 – October 2, 1996) was a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as the 22nd premier of Quebec from 1970 to 1976 and from 1985 to 1994.
