HC Škoda Plzeň
HC Škoda Plzeň is a professional Czech ice hockey team based in Plzeň, Czech Republic. It currently plays in the Czech Extraliga. Their home arena is Home Monitoring Aréna. The traditional ice hockey club was founded in 1929. In 2013, for the first time in history, HC Plzeň were the Czech Extraliga champions after beating Zlín 4:3 in the seventh match of the dramatic final. Plzeň (; German and English: Pilsen, in German ) is a city in the Czech Republic. About west of Prague in western Bohemia, it is the Statutory city (Czech Republic), fourth most populous city in the Czech Republic with about 169,000 inhabitants. Dušan Salfický (born 28 March 1972 in Chrudim, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech former professional ice hockey goaltender.
