HC Škoda Plzeň
HC Škoda Plzeň is a professional Czech ice hockey team based in Plzeň, Czech Republic. It currently plays in the Czech Extraliga. Their home arena is Home Monitoring Aréna. The traditional ice hockey club was founded in 1929. In 2013, for the first time in history, HC Plzeň were the Czech Extraliga champions after beating Zlín 4:3 in the seventh match of the dramatic final. Plzeň (; German and English: Pilsen, in German ) is a city in the Czech Republic. About west of Prague in western Bohemia, it is the Statutory city (Czech Republic), fourth most populous city in the Czech Republic with about 169,000 inhabitants. Dušan Salfický (born 28 March 1972 in Chrudim, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech former professional ice hockey goaltender. BK Mladá Boleslav
BK Mladá Boleslav ( cs, Bruslařský klub Mladá Boleslav) is a Czech ice hockey team, which plays in the Czech Extraliga, the country's highest level. They were promoted into the league on 18 April 2014 after a two-year absence. They play their home games at Ško-Energo Aréna. History 2000-12: Extraliga In 2000 and 2001, Mladá Boleslav won the 2nd national hockey league, and in 2008 they won the 1st national hockey league. In that year, they joined the Extraliga, after winning a promotion-relegation play-off against HC Slovan Ústečtí Lvi. In each of its first three seasons in the Czech Extraliga, Mladá Boleslav had to win a best-of-seven promotion-relegation play-off to stay in the top league, beating Slovan Ústečtí Lvi 4-3 in the last of them. Tuukka Mikael Rask (born 10 March 1987) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. Rask was drafted 21st overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs before being traded to the Boston Bruins in 2006, where he played his entire 15 season NHL career. He is regarded by many as the best goaltender in Boston Bruins history, one of the best Finnish goaltenders of all time, and one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history. Jaroslav Spacek (; born February 11, 1974) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over 13 seasons with the Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes. Petr Sýkora (; born November 19, 1976) is a Czech former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Minnesota Wild.
