HC Rotterdam
Hockey Club Rotterdam, commonly known as Rotterdam is a Dutch field hockey club based in Rotterdam, South Holland. It was founded on 16 September 1925. The first men's team competes on the highest level of the Dutch field hockey league, which is called "Hoofdklasse" and the first women's team competes in the second tier called the Promotieklasse. HC Rotterdam plays their matches in the 3,500-capacity Hazelaarweg Stadion, which also hosted the 2001 Men's Champions Trophy and the 2005 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup. Hazelaarweg Stadion
The Hazelaarweg Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands, run by the biggest field hockey club in the Netherlands, HC Rotterdam. Joaquín Menini (born 18 August 1991) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Rotterdam and the Spanish national team. He was part of the Argentine team that won gold in men's field hockey at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Michael Darling (field Hockey)
Michael Darling (born 3 July 1988), also referred to as Mitch Darling, is a former Ireland men's field hockey international and Rio 2016 Olympian. Between 2006 and 2018 Darling made 183 appearances and scored 51 goals for Ireland. He was a member of the Ireland team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. Adam Graham Dixon (born 11 September 1986) is an English field hockey player who plays as a defender or midfielder for Beeston. Club career Dixon grew up in Newark-on-Trent where he played for Newark Hockey Club and went to school at Worksop College. He plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Beeston. He has also played in Netherlands for HC Rotterdam. Alastair Brogdon
Alastair Richard "Ali" Brogdon (born 10 November 1987) is a British and English field hockey player who competed at 2016 Rio Olympics for Team GB. Brogdon made his international debut in 2006 and received his 100th England cap against Argentina at the 2014 Champions Trophy. He was part of the 2009 gold medal winning England side at the EuroHockey Championships. Rob ("Shorty") Short (born August 11, 1972 in Maidstone, England) is a Canadian field hockey player. Career Short played his first international senior tournament in 1995, at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata. Highlights include the 1998 World Cup in the Netherlands where the Canadian team finished 8th, with Short scoring 4 goals in the 7 games. Peter Short (field Hockey)
Peter Short (born April 26, 1976, in Richmond, British Columbia) is a field hockey player from Canada, whose brother Rob also represents the Men's National Team. A striker, Short played for several years in the Dutch League with HGC and HC Rotterdam. He left Rotterdam after helping the club promote to the First Division in the spring of 2005. For the next two years, Short moved to the UK and played hockey for Surbiton Hockey Club in the south London area. During his time in London he studied Urban Planning at the University College London, where he acquired a master's degree in International Planning at the University College London. Ranjeev Deol (born October 19, 1976 in Lusaka, Zambia) is a Canadian field hockey player, who plays for West Coast Kings HC. Mark William Knowles (born 10 March 1984) is the Australian field hockey captain. He has played professional hockey in the Netherlands for HC Rotterdam. Robert Adriaan van der Horst (; born 17 October 1984) is a Dutch former field hockey player who played as a defender and currently the assistant coach of the first men's team of Oranje-Rood. Pirmin Blaak (; born 8 March 1988) is a Dutch professional field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for Oranje-Rood and the Dutch national team. Club career Blaak started playing hockey at HC Barendrecht. In 2000 he switched to Rotterdam, with whom he won their first national title in 2013.
