Fatma Hümeyra Akbay (; born 15 October 1947) is a Turkish actress, singer, composer, and lyricist. In the 1970s she was a noted singer and actress. Her popularity with the new generation rose in the 2000s with the hit sitcom ''Avrupa Yakası'', Yalan Dünya by Gülse Birsel and the feature drama '' Babam ve Oğlum'' directed by Çağan Irmak. Musical fame In the 1970s, her songs "Kördüğüm", "Sessiz Gemi", "Otuz Beş Yaş" were very successful. Her later albums ''Tutkulardan İntihar'', ''Beyhude'' were outside the mainstream. "Tutkulardan İntihar" was one of the first examples of Turkish rap songs. Acting She debuted in theater. Her debut acting in a feature film was ''Talihli Amele''. ''Avrupa Yakası'' (''European Side'') is a Turkish sitcom, produced by Sinan Çetin and written by Gülse Birsel. The series was shot at Plato Film studios and its first episode was broadcast on ATV (Turkey), ATV on 11 February 2004. ''My Father and My Son'' ( tr, Babam ve Oğlum) is a 2005 Turkish drama film written and directed by Çağan Irmak about a family torn apart by the 1980 Turkish coup d'état. The film which went on nationwide release on became one of the highest-grossing Turkish films in history. Plot In order to study journalism at Istanbul University, Sadık leaves his village on the Aegean coast. This angers his father, Hüseyin, who wants him to study Agricultural Engineering so he can manage the family farm. During his years at university Sadık becomes a militant in left wing politics. Fikret Hakan (born Bumin Gaffar Çitanak; 23 April 1934 – 11 July 2017) was a prolific Turkish film actor and a recipient of the honorary State Artist, a title awarded by the Turkish government. Hakan was born as Bumin Gaffar Çitanak in 1934 to Gaffar and Fatma Belkıs. His mother was a head nurse while his father was a literature teacher. He moved along with his parents as a teenager from Balikesir to Istanbul, and enrolled in Galatasaray High School.
