Høgeloft
Høgeloft is a mountain on the border between the municipalities of Lærdal (in Vestland county) and Hemsedal (in Viken county), Norway. At above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Filefjell mountain range. Høgeloft one of the mountains in the Hemsedal Top 20 group. Lærdal
Lærdal is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the south side of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Lærdalsøyri. The old Filefjell Kongevegen road passes through Lærdal on its way to Valdres and later to Oslo. The municipality is the 71st largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway (with over half of this area consisting of mountains). Filefjell
Filefjell is a mountainous area in Norway. It is located between Lærdal in the Vestland county and Valdres in Innlandet county. It is the historical, as well as modern, main route, linking Western Norway and Eastern Norway. The European route E16 highway passes through Filefjell. Etymology Filefjell or sometimes Fillefjell, might be a double-name as "file" is thought to be derived from Old Norse word ''Fjáll'', the same root that evolved into the modern word "fjell". Hemsedal Top 20
Hemsedal Top 20 is an organisation of twenty mountains in the Hemsedal fell that preferably can be climbed during the summer time. The twenty peaks are each signposted with the name of the peak and the trail leading to the top is marked with either blue-painted stones or a series of cairns. A green box is situated on each peak containing a guest book. Categorization The peaks are divided into four categories: green, blue, red and black. Borgund, Sogn Og Fjordane
Borgund is a former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in the southeastern part of the traditional district of Sogn. The municipality existed from 1864 until its dissolution in 1964. It encompassed an area in the eastern part of the present-day Lærdal Municipality. The administrative center of Borgund was the village of Steinklepp, just northeast of the village of Borgund. Steinklepp was the site of a store, a bank, and a school. Juklevatnet
Juklevatnet is a lake in the municipalities of Hemsedal (in Viken county) and Lærdal (in Vestland county), Norway. It is located east of Borgund in Lærdal, just to the south of the mountain Høgeloft in the Filefjell range. The lake sits at an elevation of above sea level. It is located northeast of the lake Eldrevatnet and northeast of the lake Øljusjøen. Vestland
Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk. Viken (county)
Viken is a county under disestablishment in Eastern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold with the addition of three other municipalities. Viken was controversial from the onset, with an approval rating of about 20% in the region, and the merger was resisted by all the three counties. Viken has been compared to gerrymandering. Hemsedal is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hallingdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Trøym.
