Hyundai Motorsport GmbH (HMSG) is a division of South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company responsible for the brand's global motorsport activities. The company was established in December 2012 and is based in Alzenau, Germany. Their principal activity is running the Hyundai World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship (WRC). In 2015, its customer racing division was established to provide competition machinery and services in the R5 rallying and TCR touring car motorsport categories. Hyundai I20 Coupe WRC
The Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC (originally known as the Hyundai New Generation i20 WRC) is a World Rally Car built by Hyundai for use in the World Rally Championship starting in 2017. It is based on the Hyundai i20 subcompact car, and is the successor to the Hyundai i20 WRC used between 2014 and 2015. Three i20 Coupe WRCs were entered for the 2017 season, where they were driven by Thierry Neuville, Hayden Paddon and Dani Sordo. Later into the season they also signed Andreas Mikkelsen. Neuville scored four wins and eight podiums, finishing runner-up behind Ogier, who switched to M-Sport. All four drivers continued in 2018 season. Sébastien Loeb (; born 26 February 1974) is a French professional rallying, rally, auto racing, racing and rallycross driver. He is the most successful driver in the World Rally Championship (WRC), having won the world championship a record nine times in a row. Andreas Mikkelsen
Andreas Mikkelsen (born 22 June 1989) is a Norwegian rally driver. He is currently competing in the World Rally Championship-2 for Toksport World Rally Team. He previously drove for the factory teams of Volkswagen, Citroën and Hyundai in the World Rally Championship, finishing third in the drivers' standings in 2014, 2015 and 2016. His current co-driver is Torstein Eriksen. He is a two-time Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion, having finished first in 2011 and 2012. Kevin Abbring
Kevin Abbring (born 20 January 1989) is a Dutch rally racing driver. His father, Edwin Abbring, is also a well-known former rally driver. Career Abbring started his motorsport career in Rallycross with a 60 bhp strong buggy for newcomers, winning the 2005 and 2006 titles of the Dutch Ford RST series. In 2007 he competed in the Dutch Rally Championship with a Mitsubishi Colt. He also made his World Rally Championship debut in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. Hayden Paddon
Hayden Paddon (born 20 April 1987) is a New Zealand rally driver. He was PWRC world champion in 2011 and won the New Zealand Rally Championship in 2008, 2009, 2013, 2018 and 2021. Career Paddon was introduced into motorsport at an early age, his father Chris being a rally driver, beginning his career competing in karting. He competed in his first rally in 2002, at the age of 15. In 2005, he rolled and burnt his car in Rally Canterbury 2005. Dani Sordo
Daniel "Dani" Sordo Castillo (born 2 May 1983) is a Spanish rally driver. He competes in the World Rally Championship for Hyundai Motorsport. He achieved his first WRC victory at the 2013 Rallye Deutschland. Career Sordo began in motocross when he was 12 years old, but also experienced success in hillclimbing, karting and touring cars. He first drove in a World Rally Championship event at the Rally Catalunya, the Spanish round of the series, in 2003 in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, finishing 18th overall. 2014 Rallye Deutschland
The 2014 ADAC Rallye Deutschland was the ninth round of the 2014 World Rally Championship season. The event was based in Trier, Germany, and started on 22 August and finished on 24 August after eighteen special stages, totaling 324.3 competitive kilometres. Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville earned his first ever World Rally Championship victory of his career. It was also the first rally of the season not to be won by either the Volkswagen of Sébastien Ogier or Jari-Matti Latvala as they had both crashed out during the event. 2014 Monte Carlo Rally
The 2014 Monte Carlo Rally (formally known as the 82ème Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo) is a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over three days between 14 and 18 January 2014. It marked the eighty-second running of the Monte Carlo Rally, and was the first round of the 2014 World Rally Championship, WRC-2 and WRC-3 seasons. After being based in the town of Valence for the 2013 event, the rally headquarters was relocated to Gap in the French province of Hautes-Alpes. Thierry Neuville
Thierry Jean Neuville (born 16 June 1988) is a Belgian rally driver who is competing in the World Rally Championship for Hyundai Motorsport. During his career, he has finished as runner-up in the drivers' championship five times (2013, 2016–2019). Chris Atkinson
Chris Atkinson (born 30 November 1979 in Bega, New South Wales, Australia) is a professional rally driver. In the World Rally Championship (WRC), Atkinson drove for the Subaru World Rally Team between 2004 and 2008. His best finish on an individual WRC event is second, which he achieved at the 2008 Rally México and Rally Argentina. Bryan Bouffier (born 1 December 1978) is French rally driver. He is currently competing in the European Rally Championship with a Citroën DS3 S2000.
