Hypargyria Metalliferella
''Hypargyria metalliferella'', the silvered knothorn, is a species of Pyralidae, snout moth in the genus ''Hypargyria''. It was described by Émile Louis Ragonot in 1888. It is found in Namibia, South Africa, Australia (the Northern Territory, eastern Queensland and northern New South Wales), India and Sri Lanka. The wingspan is 17–22 mm. Émile Louis Ragonot (12 October 1843 – 13 October 1895) was a French entomologist. In 1885, he became president of the ''Société entomologique de France''. He named 301 new genera of butterflies and moths, mostly pyralid moths.
