Hybris (record Label)
Founded in 2004, Hybris is an independent record label located in Sweden. The Stockholm department is run by Mattias Lövkvist and John Gadnert and the Malmö department by Kalle Magnusson. A sister company to Hybris is Aloaded, working with complete distribution, label services and release promotion. Independent Record Label
An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). Many of the labels started as producers and distributors of specific genres of music, such as jazz music, or represent something new and non-mainstream, such as Elvis Presley in the early days. Indies release rock, soul, R&B, jazz, blues, gospel, reggae, hip hop, and world music. Malmö
Malmö (, ; da, Malmø ) is the largest city in the Swedish county (län) of Scania (Skåne). Postiljonen
Postiljonen is a dream pop band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2011 by Mia Bøe (Norwegian), Joel Nostrum Holm (Swedish), and Daniel Sjörs (Swedish). The group has released two albums, ''Skyer'' and ''Reverie'', and one remix EP titled ''All That We Had Is Lost''. In addition to original lyrics, the band incorporates sound bites from a variety of films, including ''The Princess Bride'' and '' Breakfast at Tiffany's''. Postiljonen has managed to create a characteristic sound, where ethereal and alluring vocals are interwoven in a mystical, ambient, dreamy and lovable expression. El Perro Del Mar
El Perro Del Mar (literally "The Dog of the Sea" in Spanish) is a musical project that was founded in December 2003 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The sole member of El Perro Del Mar, Sarah Assbring(born 1977/1978), initially started as an MP3/CD-R artist and released her first songs through Hybris Records. Her music could originally have been described as melancholic indie pop, but in recent years she is noted for being a "chameleon" with "every visual, sound, costume, and so on painstakenly thought out" for consecutive albums. From 2004 to late 2005, Assbring's records had only been released by the Swedish label, Hybris, but in 2006, she experienced a host of new-found success when ''El Perro Del Mar'' was picked up by UK-based label Memphis Industries, under which Dungen and The Go! Familjen
Johan Tommy Karlsson (born April 10, 1976 in Hässleholm) is a Swedish techno/ electropop artist who uses the alias Familjen (, "The Family"). Biography Karlsson grew up in Hässleholm, Skåne (the same town as fellow electronica producers Andreas Tilliander and Stefan Thor (Folie)), but is currently based in Malmö. In his youth as a synthpop fan he also formed bands with Sophie Rimheden from nearby Bjärnum and joined the industrial act Morticians with Stefan Thor and Andreas Rimheden. Karlsson has previously produced Swedish indie band David & the Citizens. Karlsson describes his music as indie-techno: ''"I'm pretty fed up with guitar - Indie and techno can get a bit monotone after a while."'' Hell on Wheels is a Swedish indie rock band. The band was formed in the autumn of 1994 and soon established themselves. Hell on Wheels first release was the ''Power bubbles blown by big bitch'' 7" single on the Make it Happen label. The first album called ''There is a Generation of Handicapped People to Carry on'' was released in 2001, followed by ''Oh my god! Montt Mardié
David Olof Peter Pagmar (born 16 September 1983) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He has also performed as Montt Mardié and Monty. As Montt Mardié, he has released three full-length albums as well as various singles on the Swedish record label Hybris. He signed to the Taiwanese label Silent Agreement, as well as the UK label Ruffa Lane in 2007. May 2009 saw the release of his first UK release, Introducing...the Best Of. His first released studio album was Drama in 2005. In late 2009, he started to perform as Monty. History David Pagmar was raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Biker Boy
Biker Boy is a fictional superhero character created and portrayed by Zach Cone. Biker Boy promotes bicycling as an alternative to walking and driving, and primarily aims to increase the use of helmets, among both children and adults. Biker Boy is based in Greater Boston, Massachusetts, where he frequents local biking areas to spread awareness for bicycle safety. Character Biker Boy is a fictional superhero who protects and serves the bicycling community. He was invented by Zach Cone, who did not initially intend to play the character as well.
