Aubagne
Aubagne (, ''Aubanha'' in Occitan language, Occitan according to the classic norm or ''Aubagno'' according to the Mistralian norm) is a Commune in France, commune in the southern French Departments of France, department of Bouches-du-Rhône. In 2018, it had a population of 47,208. Its inhabitants are known as ''Aubagnais'' or ''Aubagnaises''. In 2020, the commune was awarded three flowers by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Concours des villes et villages fleuris, Competition of cities and villages in Bloom. Geography Aubagne is located in the Huveaune Valley and surrounded by the mountain ranges of Garlaban with Sainte-Baume to the north and east of Marseille. Auriol, Bouches-du-Rhône
Auriol (; oc, Auriòu) is a commune in the Huveaune valley in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southern France. In 2017, it had a population of 11,908. Its inhabitants are known as ''Auriolais'' or ''Auriolaises''. The commune has been awarded one flower by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of cities and villages in Bloom. Located west of Roquevaire and northwest of Aubagne, it will be served by two stations of the Aubagne tramway when the northern Line T extension opens in 2023. Geography Auriol is located some 22 km east by north-east of Marseille and 10 km north by north-east of Aubagne. Roquevaire
Roquevaire (; oc, Ròcavaira) is a commune in the Huveaune valley between Aubagne and Auriol in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southern France. In 2017, it had a population of 9,003. Its inhabitants are called ''Roquevairois'' and ''Roquevairoises''. Geography The villages of Lascours, Pont-de-l'Étoile and Pont-de-Joux are located within the commune of Roquevaire. In 2023, Roquevaire will be served by two stations of the Aubagne tramway when the northern Line T extension opens. Sainte-Baume

Plan-d'Aups-Sainte-Baume (; Provençal: ''Lo Plan d’Aups de la Santa Bauma'') is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It lies to the north of the Sainte-Baume mountain range. History Second World War In June 1944, at the aftermath of D-Day when the French Resistance went on an offensive against the German occupiers, the hills near Plan-d'Aups were the site of a bloody battle. Some 200 Maquis had set up a camp there, commanded by SOE agent Robert Burdett. They were attacked by large German forces.
