Hubertus Gerardus Josephus Henricus "Huub" Oosterhuis (; 1 November 19339 April 2023) was a Dutch theologian and poet. He is mainly known for his contribution to Christian music and liturgy in Dutch and also in German, used in both Protestant and Roman Catholic churches. He authored over 60 books and over 700 hymns, songs, psalms (often in an own interpretation), and prayers. Several of his songs were translated, and he received international awards and recognition. Life and career Oosterhuis was born on 1 November 1933 in Amsterdam. He attended a high school there and joined the Society of Jesus in 1954. He was ordained as a priest at the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht in 1964. Hubertus Jozef Margaretha "Huub" Stevens (; born 29 November 1953) is a Dutch former professional football manager and player. Playing career Stevens was born in Sittard. While active, he played for Fortuna Sittard and PSV. During his time at PSV, he won the Eredivisie three times, the KNVB Cup once and also won the UEFA Cup once, in 1978. He also earned 18 caps for the Netherlands national team, scoring one goal and appearing in the 1980 European Championship finals. Managerial career Soon after beginning his career as head of youth development at PSV, where he helped bring and develop players and managers such as Nick Theslof, in 1993, Stevens became the manager of Roda JC Kerkrade. Hubertus Bernardus "Huub" Bals (February 3, 1937 – July 13, 1988) was the first director and creator of International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), formerly named Film International. IFFR started small in the Calypso cinema and film theatre 't Venster (now Lantaren/Venster) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in 1972, with only 4500 visitors and 31 films. In the forthcoming years the film festival expanded gradually under the watchful cinephile eye of Bals to 150.000 visitors and multiple cinemas in 1988 – Bals' last festival – and developed into an annual film event of great international importance, with already more than 350.000 visitors in 2010. Hubertus Johannes Antoinetta (Huub) Bertens (born 24 May 1960) is a Dutch professional bridge player previously from Tilburg, Netherlands, now living in Bend, Oregon (U.S.). Bertens has won numerous national and some international tournaments including the Cavendish Invitational, NEC Cup, the Yeh Brothers Cup, the European Open Team Championships. Hubertus (Huub) Rothengatter (born 8 October 1954) is a former racing driver from the Netherlands. He participated in 30 Formula One (F1) Grands Prix, debuting on 17 June 1984. He scored no championship points. He drove for Spirit, Osella and Zakspeed, and his drives all either started or became available midseason. He tried to get Dutch sponsors in various ways, such as by putting a one-page advertisement in ''De Telegraaf'' newspaper. Reputedly, when Niki Lauda was asked about him, he referred to him as "rattengott" – literally "God of the rats". Rothengatter, unlike many fringe drivers who waited for phone calls from F1 teams that never came, attracted personal sponsorship which allowed him to 'buy' his place in the low-budget teams, bringing in much needed money to them and allowing him to drive F1 when he otherwise would most likely have missed out.
