Hut Point Peninsula () is a long, narrow peninsula from wide and long, projecting south-west from the slopes of Mount Erebus on Ross Island, Antarctica. McMurdo Station (US) and Scott Base (NZ) are Antarctic research stations located on the Hut Point Peninsula. History The British National Antarctic Expedition (1901–04) under Robert Falcon Scott built its hut on Hut Point, a small point lying north-east of Cape Armitage, the southern headland of the peninsula. Hutton Grammar School
Hutton Grammar School is a voluntary aided Church of England day school for boys, with a co-educational Sixth Form. It is located south west of Preston, Lancashire, in Hutton, England. It provides education for boys from the age of 11 to 16, and in the Sixth Form (since 1979) for both boys and girls. The school no longer offers boarding. The school is ranked 5th in the league tables in the North-West and 2nd place for AS-A2 results. It was also the '' Lancashire Rugby School of the Year'', for two years running, for 2007 and 2008. Hutton Gate Railway Station
Hutton Gate was a railway station on the Middlesbrough and Guisborough Railway. It was opened on 25 February 1854 and closed along with the entire Nunthorpe-Guisborough branch on 2 March 1964. The station stands on Hutton Lane, just east of its junction with The Avenue. Originally, the station was exclusively for the use of the Pease family at the nearby Hutton Hall; the family owned the major iron ore mines in the region at the time and the railway line was designed to service these mines. Although a private station, excursion traffic was allowed to detrain at Hutton Gate, such as Liberal Association specials from Thornaby in the 1890s. These were run for a speaking event held in a marquee on the lawn outside Hutton Hall. The station was closed between May 1864 and July 1881, and then again from October 1903 to January 1904. David Hutton Webster (March 24, 1875 − May 20, 1955) was an American sociologist, economist and anthropologist. He was Lecturer Emeritus of Sociology at Stanford University. Biography David Hutton Webster was born in Malone, New York on March 24, 1875. He went to California in 1893, receiving a A. B. from Stanford University in 1896, where he subsequently served as an assistant in economics from 1899 to 1900. From 1902 he was a teaching fellow in economics at Harvard University, where he received his Ph.D. in economics in 1904. For the next three years Webster was Assistant Professor of Economics at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. From there Webster went to the University of Nebraska, where he was Professor of Social Anthropology until 1933. Hutton (lunar Crater)
Hutton is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the northwest of the larger crater Shayn, and to the north of Nušl. Hutton is a worn, circular crater with a largely symmetrical appearance. Its features include a small craterlet across the western rim, some slight disruption to the northern rim, and an eroded, ledge-like form along the southern inner wall. The interior floor has an elongated central ridge at the midpoint, and a smaller ridge offset to the east, but it is otherwise marked only by tiny craterlets and a few small hills.
