Hussein Dey District
Hussein Dey is a district in Algiers Province, Algeria. It was named after the Ottoman provincial ruler of the Regency of Algiers. He had installed his country house near the beaches of the suburb of Algiers. On the shores of Hussein Dey had failed in 1541 the ships of the fleet of Charles Quint. Located on the seafront, between the Jardin d’essai, Maison Carree Kouba. Hussein Dey had several counties in its periphery: Leveilley, Brossette, La Montagne, Bel Air, La Cressonnière, Panorama, Eucalyptus, Côte-Blanche, Côte-Rouge, and Lafarge. Mohamed Missouri
Mohamed Missouri ( ar, محمد ميسوري; 7 December 1947 – 29 June 2015) was an Algerian amateur boxer and coach. Early life Missouri was born in 1947 in the village of Merchicha within the Col des Beni Aïcha region, in the east of the Khachna Massif and in the south of the town of Thénia before the Algerian independence. He lived his young age in the mountainous and wooded region near the course of Oued Meraldene and its Meraldene Dam, and not far from the Zawiyet Sidi Boushaki in the aftermath of the World War II and in the period preceding the outbreak of the Algerian Revolution. He completed his primary studies in the midst of the independence war in the boys' school (french: École de Garçons) in Thénia (former Ménerville), which was renamed Mohamed Farhi school after 1962. Mohamed Belouizdad
Mohamed Belouizdad ( ar, محمد بلوزداد; 3 November 1924, in Algiers – 14 January 1952, in Paris), was an Algerian militant and chief "responsible" (manager) of Special Organisation (OS), the military branch of the Algerian People's Party, (in French, Parti du Peuple Algerien) (PPA). Originating from Guenzet, a town and commune in Sétif Province in north-eastern Algeria, he was born in Belcourt, a quarter of Algiers to a family of five brothers and two sisters. Among his siblings was Dr. Mustapha Belouizdad, and Othmane Belouizdad, a member of CRUA and Sahnoun Belouizdad, a militant who died in prison of El Harrach succumbing to torture. Mohamed Arkab (born 19 February 1966) is an Algerian politician who is serving as Minister of Energy since 22 February 2021. Biography Arkab was born in 1966 and is from the village of Aït Salah in the municipality of Ammal in the Boumerdès Province. After studying in Algeria, he obtained a diploma in mechanical engineering at the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene. He also began studies to obtain a master's degree in business administration MBA in a cycle of business management. Mohamed Aïchaoui
Mohamed Aïchaoui (29 January 1921 - 1959) was an Algerian journalist and militant in the nationalist movement against French Algeria. Aïchaoui wrote the ''Declaration of 1 November 1954'', the National Liberation Front's first appeal to the Algerian people at the start of the Algerian War. After earlier imprisonment and torture, he died in a 1959 clash with the French army. Early life Aïchaoui was born on 29 January 1921 in the town of Si Mustapha, in lower Kabylia near the Isser River. He grew up in woody Thénia, part of the Khachna mountain range. Aïchaoui's father worked for a French settler and, after his death, his wife moved to Algiers with her children. They settled in El Annasser, renting a house on the former Rue Ampère. Brahim Boushaki
Brahim Boushaki ( ar, إبراهيم بن علي بوسحاقي ''Ibrahim ibn Ali al-Boushaki'') (1912 CE/1330 AH – 1997 CE/1418 AH), was an Algerian Scholar, Imam and Sufi Sheikh. He was born in the village of Soumâa near the town of Thénia 53 km east of Algiers. He was raised in a very spiritual environment within Zawiyet Sidi Boushaki with high Islamic values and ethics. He had great interpersonal skills and devoted his entire life in service of Islam and Algeria according to the Algerian Islamic reference. Sidi M'hamed Bou Qobrine
Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Gashtuli al-Jurjuri al-Azhari Abu Qabrayn (; died in 1793/1794), mostly known as Sidi M'hamed Bou Qobrine ( ar, سيدي محمد بو قبرين) was a Berber ash'ari '''alim'', founder of the Rahmaniyya Sufi order and is one of the seven Patron Saints of Algiers. The Sidi M'Hamed District in Algiers and the municipality of the same name, Sidi M'Hamed, are both named after him. Belouizdad, Algiers
Mohamed Belouizdad ( ar, بلوزداد) is a quarter of Algiers, Algeria in Algiers Province. The quarter was formerly known as Belcourt during the French colonisation period. It was renamed as Hamma-El Annasser ( ar, الحامة-العناصر) after Algerian independence, before the present name Belouizdad was adopted in 1992 in honour of the Algerian militant and nationalist Mohamed Belouizdad who lived in the quarter.
