Holstebro Municipality
Holstebro Municipality is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in west Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a population of 57,411 (1 April 2014). Its mayor is H. C. Østerby, a member of the Social Democratic party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Holstebro. On 1 January 2007 Holstebro municipality was, due to ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), merged with existing Ulfborg-Vemb and Vinderup municipalities to form the new Holstebro municipality. Stig Roar Husby (born 12 September 1954 in Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag) is a retired Norwegian long-distance runner. He represented Strindheim IL and IL i BUL. In 3000 metres he finished fourth at the 1973 European Junior Championships and eighth at the 1985 European Indoor Championships. He finished tenth in marathon at the 1983 World Championships but did not finish at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He became Norwegian champion in 5000 metres in 1983 and 1985 and in 10,000 metres in 1975, 1979, 1980 and 1983. He has his education from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Husby is a locality situated in Hedemora Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden. History The village of Husby had a population of 256 inhabitants in 2010. It is the site of Husby Church (''Husby kyrka''). It is also the location of the historic manor houses, Husby kungsgård and Näs kungsgård which are on the Husbyringen cultural trail. Husby Church dates from the first half of the 13th century, but gained much of its present form at the time of an extension in 1779–1782. Husby kungsgård was a former royal estate dating into the 13th century. The current building was designed in the early 18th century. Näs kungsgård was designed in 1686 by Erik Dahlbergh (1625–1703). Husby is a district ( sv, stadsdel) in Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Husby has 11,551 inhabitants as of December 31, 2007. Husby is located on the blue Metro line. The main construction of modern Husby, with its multi-level concrete apartment buildings, started in 1972 as part of the '' Million Programme''.
