Husavik is a village in Austevoll municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on Vestre Vinnesvåg area on the southeastern shore of the island of Huftarøy, about northeast of the village of Vinnes and about south of the farming village of Otterå. The village is a regular stop for a ferry service connecting the islands of Austevoll to the large island of Stord to the south, across the Selbjørnsfjorden Selbjørnsfjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. Selbjørnsfjorden
Selbjørnsfjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord flows east-west between the municipalities of Austevoll, Fitjar, and Bømlo. It is a wide fjord that starts at the Slåtterøy Lighthouse at the North Sea in the west and flows to the strait of Langenuen in the east. The central part of the fjord reaches about wide. Stord (island)
Stord is an island in Vestland county, Norway. Located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland, the island is part of the municipalities of Stord (southern part) and Fitjar (northern part). The largest settlements on the island are the town of Leirvik (granted town status in 1997) and the villages of Sagvåg and Fitjar. Geography Stord has an area of and the highest point is the tall mountain Mehammarsåto. The island lies on the northern side of the mouth of the great Hardangerfjorden. The Selbjørnsfjorden lies on the north end of the island. On the east side of the island, the Langenuen strait separates Stord from the neighboring island of Tysnesøya. Otterå
Oterå or Otterå is a farm in Austevoll municipality in Vestland county, Norway. Location The farm is located on the eastern coast of the island of Huftarøy, the largest island in Austevoll municipality. The farm is located along a strait, across from the island of Reksteren in Tysnes municipality. The farm is located between the neighboring farms ''Såtendal'' and ''Brekke''. Outside the eastern use is a headland known as Oteråneset. County Road 546 runs on the west side of the farm area. Historically it was one large farm, but it has since been divided into two separate farms (eastern and western) with different owners, although they both share the same name. Austevoll is a municipality and an archipelago in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Midthordland in Western Norway. The administrative centre is the village of Storebø on the island of Huftarøy.
