Husalah
James "Husalah" Ratliff (born May 13, 1979), is an American rapper from Pittsburg, California. He began his career with the Pittsburg group the Mob Figaz, whose first album, ''C-Bo's Mob Figaz'', was released in 1999. Like his late close friend The Jacka, Husalah is a Muslim, and frequently references Islam in his lyrics. He has released three solo studio albums (''Dope, Guns and Religion'', ''Hustlin’ Since the ‘80s'', and ''The H''), as well as numerous group projects. Career Husalah began his career with the Pittsburg-based group Mob Figaz. Their first album, ''C-Bo's Mob Figaz'', was released in 1999 and was a minor hit on the Billboard Hip Hop charts, entering in at #63. The album sold fairly well, selling 60,000 units. His first solo album, entitled ''Dope, Guns, and Religion'', was released in 2006 and was one of the most highly anticipated Bay Area hip-hop albums of the time. The Jacka
Dominick Newton (August 12, 1977 – February 2, 2015), better known by his stage name The Jacka, was an American rapper from Pittsburg, California. The Jacka began his career as part of the rap group Mob Figaz. He was killed in a shooting in Oakland, California, on February 2, 2015. The murder is currently unsolved. Early life Newton was born to 14-year-old parents and became the family breadwinner as a teenager, a role that landed him in prison for a year at age 18. Newton converted to Islam at a young age and changed his name to ''Shaheed Akbar''. Career His career began with the Bay Area rap group Mob Figaz after the teenaged Newton and several friends were approached by established rap artist C-Bo in a record store and went to a recording studio that day. Jerold Dwight Ellis III (born October 18, 1974), better known by his stage name Yukmouth, is an American rapper from East Oakland, Oakland, California. He is the founder of The Regime, Smoke-A-Lot Records and Godzilla Entertainment. He is a member of Thug Lordz with C-Bo. Career Yukmouth is a member of the rap duo Luniz, along with Numskull. Luniz recorded the weed anthem, " I Got 5 on It". Yukmouth signed a solo record deal at J-Prince's Rap-a-Lot Records, releasing four albums. His double album debut on the label, entitled '' Thugged Out: The Albulation'', went gold. Clyde Nyle Kalin Carson Parrish (born June 2, 1981), better known by the stage name Clyde Carson, is an American rapper from Oakland, California. He was originally known as a member of the hip hop group The Team. After the group went on hiatus, he was the one member of the group to break out as a solo artist. He was signed to rapper The Game's The Black Wall Street Records and Capitol Records in 2006. While signed there he released the EP ''Doin' That''. Quincy Brooks IV (born October 24, 1977), better known by his stage name San Quinn, is an American rapper from San Francisco, California. He is the cousin of Messy Marv, Stevie Johnson, and Ya Boy. Early life Brooks was born in Oakland, California, United States, and grew up in the Fillmore District of San Francisco since the age of three. He attended George Washington High School.
