Hurrylall Goburdhun
Hurrylall Goburdhun, (1919 - 15 September 2019), also known as "Harry Goburdhun" was a lawyer and Judge of the Supreme Court of Mauritius. He was also a Director of the transportation firm Rose Hill Transport. History In 1952 entrepreneur Juggarnath Goburdhun purchased his first bus when he was based at Forest Side. By 1954 the entrepreneur had founded Rose Hill Transport Limited in alliance with other bus operators to service the transportation needs of passengers between Rose-Hill and Port-Louis. The Supreme Court of Mauritius is the highest court of Mauritius and is the final court of appeal in the Mauritian judicial system. It was established in its current form in 1850, replacing the ''Cour d'Appel'' established in 1808 during the French administration and has a permanent seat in Port Louis. There is a right of appeal from the Supreme Court of Mauritius directly to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London. South African Airways Flight 295
South African Airways Flight 295 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei, Taiwan, to Jan Smuts International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa, with a stopover in Plaisance Airport, Plaine Magnien, Mauritius. On 28 November 1987, the aircraft serving the flight, a Boeing 747-200 Combi named ''Helderberg'', experienced a catastrophic in-flight fire in the cargo area, broke up in mid-air, and crashed into the Indian Ocean east of Mauritius, killing all 159 people on board. An extensive salvage operation was mounted to try to recover the aircraft's flight recorders, one of which was recovered from a depth of . Cecil Stanley Margo , QC, FRAS (born 10 July 1915, Johannesburg, Transvaal, Union of South Africa, died 19 November 2000, Johannesburg, Gauteng) was a South African Supreme Court Justice and war hero.
