Hurricane Season (film)
''Hurricane Season'' is a 2009 American sports drama film directed by Tim Story and starring Forest Whitaker, Taraji P. Henson, Isaiah Washington, Lil Wayne, and Bow Wow. The screenplay was written by Robert Eisele and the film was produced by Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold. The film had been delayed several times and was sent straight to DVD on December 8, 2009. Plot This movie is based on the true story of John Ehret High School's 2005–06 State championship team. After Hurricane Katrina, Al Collins (Forest Whitaker), a John Ehret high school basketball coach in Jefferson Parish, across the river from New Orleans in Marrero, Louisiana, assembles a team of players who had previously attended five different schools before Hurricane Katrina and leads them on the path to winning the state championship and rebuilding the community. Tim Story
Timothy Kevin Story (born March 13, 1970) is an African American film director. He is best known for '' Barbershop'' (2002), the '' Fantastic Four'' (2005) and the ''Ride Along'' franchise. He has been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Directing in a Feature Film/Television Movie in 2006 and 2013. He is the founder of The Story Company, an entertainment production company that he started with his wife in 1996. Francis Edward Fitzpatrick (born April 13, 1961), more commonly known as Frank Fitzpatrick, is an American composer, music producer, author, filmmaker and social entrepreneur. Van Hunt (born March 8, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He released his debut album, ''Van Hunt'', in 2004, and a follow-up, ''On the Jungle Floor'', in 2006, both on Capitol Records. Brian Hartley (15 May 1939 – 8 October 1994) was a British mathematician specialising in group theory. Education Hartley's PhD thesis was completed in 1964 at the University of Cambridge under Philip Hall's supervision. Career and research Hartley spent a year at the University of Chicago, and another at MIT before being appointed as a lecturer at the newly established University of Warwick in 1966, and was promoted to reader in 1973.
