''Hooray, It's a Boy!'' (german: Hurra – ein Junge!) is a 1953 West German comedy film directed by Ernst Marischka and Georg Jacoby and starring Walter Müller, Theo Lingen, and Ingrid Lutz. It is one of several film adaptations of the 1926 play of the same name. It was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin. Ernst Marischka
Ernst Marischka (2 January 1893 – 12 May 1963) was an Austrian screenwriter and film director. He wrote for more than 90 films between 1913 and 1962. He also directed 29 films between 1915 and 1962. He wrote and directed the Sissi trilogy - '' Sissi'' (1955), '' Sissi - The Young Empress'' (1956) and '' Sissi - Schicksalsjahre einer Kaiserin'' (1957). The films were based on the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. He was the brother of Hubert Marischka. ''It's a Boy'' is a 1933 British comedy film directed by Tim Whelan and starring Leslie Henson, Albert Burdon and Edward Everett Horton. Wolfgang Neuss
Wolfgang Neuss (3 December 1923 – 5 May 1989) was a German actor and Kabarett artist. Beginning in the mid-1960s, he also became famous for his political engagement, first for the SPD, then for the extra-parliamentary opposition, ''APO''. He died in 1989 from a longtime cancer. At the age of 15 he went to Berlin to become a clown but was dismissed. When Germany entered into the Second World War Neuss was drafted, first to the Reich Labour Service where he was occupied with road construction. Later he was sent to the Eastern Front where he became injured and was rewarded with the Iron Cross. It was during his stays in military hospitals and, after the war during military detention that Neuss began to discover his interest in acting and for Kabarett.
