Hungry Dinosaurs
''Hungry Dinosaurs'' is a strategy game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was developed and published by Magical Company on October 19, 1994 in Japan, and was later published by Sunsoft in Europe on January 3, 1995. The game was never released in North America in any form. Gameplay The objective of the game is to place eggs by walking on a 9x9 playing field. The player can eat the eggs by pressing the B button. In order to win, the player must have more eggs than the others; failing to do so will cause the player to lose the game. Reception The game received mixed to poor reviews. Magical Company
, also known as Mahō, is a Japanese entertainment company. History Established in Kobe in 1983 to design and develop video games, the company was incorporated on May 29, 1985 as Home Data. During the 80's they developed and published various mahjong games for the Arcades. They developed ''Last Apostle Puppet Show'' (known in Japan as ''Reikai Dōshi: Chinese Exorcist''), released in September 1988. It was the first fighting game to use digitized sprites and motion capture animation, and was the first claymation fighting game. They also created ''Battlecry'' among many other titles for different console systems. In 1993, in order to mark the tenth anniversary of Home Data's establishment, the company's name was changed to Magical Company. Super Nintendo Entertainment System Games
The Super Nintendo has a library of games, which were released in plastic encased ROM cartridges. The cartridges are shaped differently for different regions; North American cartridges have a rectangular bottom with inset grooves matching protruding tabs in the console, while other regions' cartridges are narrower with a smooth curve on the front and no grooves. The physical incompatibility can be overcome with use of various adapters, or through modification of the console. Internally, a regional lockout chip within the console and in each cartridge prevents PAL region games from being played on Japanese or North American consoles and vice versa. This can be overcome through the use of adapters, typically by inserting the imported cartridge in one slot and a cartridge with the correct region chip in a second slot.
