Petra Mandula
Petra Mandula (; born 17 January 1978) is a Hungarian former professional tennis player, who represented her native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney; in singles, she was eliminated in the first round by fourth seed Conchita Martínez of Spain, in doubles, she reached the quarterfinals, partnering Katalin Marosi. Four years later, when Athens hosted the Games, she once again was defeated in the first round, this time by Patty Schnyder of Switzerland. She reached the quarterfinals at the 2001 French Open as a qualifier, winning seven straight matches and losing to eventual runner-up, Kim Clijsters. Attila Sávolt (born 5 February 1976) is a tennis player from Hungary, who represented his native country at the 2000 Sydney Olympics where he lost to Paradorn Srichaphan in his first match. Starting his professional career in 1995, he peaked the ATP-ranking on May 20, 2002, reaching 68 on the world rankings. Surprisingly he has a 1-0 head to head against Tim Henman after beating the 4th seed 11th ranked in the 2003 Dubai Tennis Championships. The Hopman Cup is an international eight-team indoor hardcourt tennis tournament that played mixed-gender teams on a country-by-country basis.It was held in Perth, Western Australia each year from 1989 to 2019, before being replaced on the calendar in 2020 by the now defunct ATP Cup. It is set to return in July 2023 in Nice, France. Canada At The Hopman Cup
Canada has competed at the Hopman Cup tennis tournament on four occasions, in 2004, 2014, 2015 and 2018. In 2004, the team of Maureen Drake and Frank Dancevic was defeated in the qualification play-off and as such did not compete in the round robin, except to stand in for the injured Belgium team for the final round robin tie against Hungary. Milos Raonic and Eugenie Bouchard represented Canada in 2014 and finished second in Group A. Bouchard represented Canada once again in 2015, this time with Vasek Pospisil, and ranked second in Group A for the second straight year. Burswood Dome
The Dome at Crown Perth (originally the Burswood Superdome and formerly the Burswood Dome) was a multipurpose indoor arena used for sports and entertainment. The dome was in size, with seating for 13,600 people. The whole arena was pressurised so that the fibreglass roof was suspended above the ground. Henry Christian Hopman CBE (12 August 1906 – 27 December 1985) was an Australian tennis player and coach. Early life Harry Hopman was born on 12 August 1906 in Glebe, Sydney as the third child of John Henry Hopman, a schoolteacher, and Jennie Siberteen, née Glad. His family then moved to Parramatta. Hopman started playing tennis at the age of 13 and, playing barefoot, won an open singles tournament on a court in the playground of Rosehill Public School where his father was headmaster.
