Humboldt High School (Iowa)
Humboldt High School is a public, co-educational high school in Humboldt, Iowa. It is a part of Humboldt Community School District, and serves grades nine through twelve. As the sole high school in its district, it serves Humboldt, Dakota City, Hardy, Renwick, and Rutland. Academics Humboldt High School has about a 17:1 student / teacher ratio. There are about 389 students enrolled in Humboldt High. Auditorium R. Wesley Carlson auditorium is in the west portion of the school, and is used for school events such as musicals, plays, and band and chorus concerts. Carlson, for whom the auditorium was named, was a superintendent at Humboldt from 1970-1989 and the auditorium was dedicated in his honor June 19, 1989. There is seating for 450 attendees. Humboldt High School is a high school (grades 9-12) in Humboldt, Kansas, United States, and operated by Humboldt USD 258 school district. As of the 2014–2015 school year, Humboldt High School has an enrollment of 182 students and has a student-teacher ratio of 91:9. Academics Humboldt High School operates on an 7:55 am to 3:25 pm schedule, which includes eight periods. Classes follow traditional scheduling. Although there are eight available periods, students may only take a maximum of seven classes. Students attend the same classes Monday through Friday. Humboldt is a city in Gibson and Madison counties, Tennessee. The population was 8,452 at the 2010 census, a decline of 1,015 from 2000. It is the principal city of and is included in the Humboldt, Tennessee Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Jackson, Tennessee-Humboldt, Tennessee Combined Statistical Area. History The first settlers of what would become Humboldt, began moving into the area in the mid 1850s. The town was a Railroad town. Its history begins with the Crossing of the Mobile & Ohio and the Memphis & Ohio (later L&N) Railroads. This was completed in 1859. The town wasn't chartered until after the Civil War in 1866. Humboldt Senior High School is a public high school located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States which serves students in grades 6-12. The school is the smallest of the nine high schools in the Saint Paul Public Schools district with an enrollment of 858 students. It is the only high school located on the West Side of Saint Paul. The school was founded in 1889 and is one of the oldest in Saint Paul. A founding member of the Saint Paul City Conference, Humboldt fields regular and adapted sports teams. Humboldt has a large percentage of low-income students and has struggled on national standardized tests. The school shares facilities with Humboldt Junior High School and both schools have a program focus on environmental studies and career preparation.
