Hukuru Vileyrey
''Hukuru Vileyrey'' (), is a 2006 Maldivian romantic horror film directed by Aishath Rishmy and Aminath Rasheedha. Produced by Rasheedha under Yaaraa Productions, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Aishath Rishmy, Mariyam Azza and Zeenath Abbas in pivotal roles. The film was based on a novel published by Ibrahim Waheed in ''Haveeru Daily'' in 2003. The film was a critical and commercial success while being considered "one of the few acceptable horror movies the Maldives film industry has ever produced". The film was later released as a 15 episode television series with the inclusion of several clips that were cut from the cinema version. Premise Fairooz (Yoosuf Shafeeu), an aspiring author is happily married to his amusing wife Nahidha (Mariyam Azza) and blessed with a daughter. Aishath Rishmy
Aishath Rishmy Rameez (born 15 November 1985) is a Maldivian actress film producer and director. Early life Born in Malé, Maldives, Rishmy is the daughter of actor Aminath Rasheedha. She is the elder sister of actress Mariyam Azza. They reside in Vilingili since the early days when the island was made a satellite town of Male. Rishmy completed her secondary education from Aminiya School and accomplished her higher education from Centre for Higher Secondary Education. Rishmy made a brief cameo appearance in the film ''Mithuru'', along with Mariyam Azza, which was produced by her step-father Ahmed Shiyam and co-starring with Rasheedha. Though she is particularly known for her on-screen appearances, Rishmy is more interested in the production process. Abdul Baaree
Abdul Bari Aboobakur commonly spelled as Abdul Baree (20 March 1967) is a former Maldivian singer. Career In 1990, Baaree started performing in the "Aksheeba" shows without any charge, which helped in gaining recognition from music lovers. Afterwards, he expanded his presence to other stage shows including "Fannaanunge Muzikee Eid", "Galaxy" and other shows being performed in Male' and atoll islands. He started his professional career as a singer in 1997 by contributing to the studio albums including ''Mathaaran''. Indian classical touch in his rendition, often compared with Bollywood singer Mohammed Rafi, was particularly noted by the music directors which helped him gain several projects within a short period of time. Fathimath Fareela (24 October 1984) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Fareela made her film debut in Ahmed Nimal's romantic film '' Vaaloabi Engeynama'' (2006), starred alongside Yoosuf Shafeeu, Mariyam Afeefa and Fauziyya Hassan which was a critical and commercial success, considered to be the most successful Maldivian release of the year. The film follows a conflicted husband struggling to convey equal affection towards his two spouses. Fazeela Amir
Fazeela Amir (16 December 1969) is a Maldivian singer. Early life Fazeela Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" where several artists including Ahmed Amir and Ibrahim Amir were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. She made her career debut with the album ''Hiyy Fahi'' where she lent her voice for eleven songs in the album. This resulted in her receiving several offers from music directors and producers to sing for their films and albums before making her breakthrough with her "high-pitched" rendition of the songs in the 1994 released film '' Dheriyaa''. Her duets with Ali Rameez are well noted in the industry and maximum duets with Rameez are recorded by Amir. In 1998, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition.
