Huia Samuels
Huia Samuels is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who was portrayed by Nicola Kawana from early 2005 to late 2006. The character was initially a recurring character but when producers realised her potential, she soon became a regular before being axed in a high-profile terrorism storyline. Huia arrived in March 2005 to replace Nick Harrison as Business Manager and begin a review of the hospital's departments. Following the departure of Andrew Solomon she became the chief executive officer of hospital. ''Shortland Street'' is a New Zealand prime-time soap opera centring on the fictitious Shortland Street Hospital, first broadcast on TVNZ 2 on 25 May 1992. It is New Zealand's longest-running drama and soap opera, being broadcast continuously for over 7,500 episodes and 30 years, and is one of the most watched television programmes in New Zealand. Amanda Billing (born 12 April 1976 in New Zealand) is a New Zealand actress best known for her role as Sarah Potts (Shortland Street), Doctor Sarah Potts on New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street''. Biography Billing grew up in Masterton, and spent her university years in Christchurch. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with 1st Class Honours in Geography from the University of Canterbury, she trained at the Christchurch College of Education and became a high school teacher. Justine Jones
Dr. Justine McKay (also Jones) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who appeared in numerous stints from 2005 to 2009. She was portrayed by Laurie Foell in 2005 for a guest stint before returning in 2006 as a regular character. In 2007 the role was controversially recast, with Lucy Wigmore taking over.
