Hugo Blick
Hugo Edgar Maxwell Blick (born 7 December 1964) is a British filmmaker and actor. He has his own production company, called Eight Rooks. Early life Hugo Blick studied in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Career He has acted in several films, appearing as a Young Jack Napier, the character who would ultimately become The Joker in Tim Burton's ''Batman''. He delivers the famous line "Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moon light?" after having killed the young Bruce Wayne's parents. He also wrote the TV series ''The Last Word Monologues,'' a series of three shorts featuring Sheila Hancock, Rhys Ifans and Bob Hoskins. ''Operation Good Guys'' is a British mockumentary series about an elite police unit's bid to snare one of Britain's most powerful crime lords. It was first screened on BBC Two from 29 December 1997 to 31 August 2000. It witnesses, on camera, the total breakdown, professionally and personally, of the Operation Good Guys team. ''Marion and Geoff'' is a BBC television mockumentary in video-diary format, produced by Baby Cow Productions and screened on BBC Two in 2000, with a second series following in 2003. The series starred Rob Brydon as Keith Barret, a naïve taxi driver going through a messy divorce from his wife, Marion, who, though he fails to realise it, has had a long-standing affair with her colleague, Geoff. Each episode is presented as a monologue, filmed by a fixed camera in the confines of his car. The series were written by Brydon and Hugo Blick, and produced and directed by Blick.
