Hugh Baird (footballer)
Hugh Baird (14 March 1930 – 19 June 2006) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Airdrieonians, Leeds United and Aberdeen. He also represented the Scotland national football team on one occasion against Austria at Hampden Park. Glasgow. Baird started his professional playing career aged 21 with Scottish Football League side Airdrieonians, whom he joined from Dalry Thistle. A striker, he quickly gained a reputation as a prolific goal scorer. In 1957 Leeds United signed him for £12,000 but he only stayed one season in England. In 1958 Aberdeen paid a then club record transfer fee of £11,500 to ensure his return north. He stayed with Aberdeen until 1962 making 86 appearances for the ''Dons''. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. The town of Bellshill itself (including the villages of Orbiston and Mossend) has a population of about 20,650. From 1996 to 2016, it was considered to be part of the Greater Glasgow metropolitan area; since then it is counted as part of a continuous List of towns and cities in Scotland, suburban settlement anchored by Motherwell with a total population of around 125,000. Gary Imlach
Gary Imlach (born 1960, at West Bridgford in Nottinghamshire) is a British author, journalist and broadcaster, specialising in sport. After first being known as a sports presenter on TV-am, Imlach has particularly become associated with non-mainstream sports, working for many years as the face of Channel 4's coverage of American Football. Imlach has covered the Tour de France since 1990, formerly on Channel 4, transferring to ITV (TV network), ITV in 2001 when the station bought the television rights to the cycle race. He has also hosted the late-night sports chat show ''Live and Dangerous'', and currently presents ITV's coverage of the Tour de France as well as their Super Bowl coverage. He also does links between programmes on the British version of ESPN Classic (UK), ESPN Classic.
